Isn't that the gratuity charge on the package? $17.80 times 5 days = $89 exactly. Just FYI.

We choose the drink package as one of the offers from NCL and yes the $89.00 was the gratuity charge. My husband and I both had the package so we each paid $89.00 total for the whole 5 day cruise for alcoholic drinks. It was not per day it was $89.00 total each. I made very good use of this promo ! [emoji4]

We paid a total of $89.00 for our drink package on our 5 days cruise on the Pearl in February. It was $89.00 total not per day [emoji484]and was well worth it.

On the January 14, 2018 Pearl cruise from New Orleans there are a large number of people from the "Grown & Sexy" group sailing. I checked out their Facebook page and I believe that there may be about 700 going.

I asked almost the same question today on Norwegian's Facebook page and have not received a response as yet. Usually they have been available to book way before this.

My husband & I took the NCL excursion to Gumbalinda Park and thoroughly enjoyed it. So much that I am thinking of going there again on our next cruise in January.

This is fantastic news as we live only 1 hour away. I'm ready to book !

I always do a "shakedown" of my husband regarding any kind of knife etc. that he may have on him right before existing our car before a cruise. On our Elation cruise last November, we went through security & the employees there scanned his carry-on bag and kept calling other security personnel to take a look at the scanner. He forgot that he had bullets in his shaving kit - 3 bullets.

So we spent about 40 minutes in the security office answering quite a few questions. Even the head of the ship's security department came in to ask questions. I will say that all the personnel involved were very nice, polite & professional. The reason my husband was in possession of the bullets was pretty innocuous but now I have another banned category to check before each cruise.

I am thoroughly enjoying your cruise review. We have cruised this itinerary 3 times & are cruising the Elation again this fall. You write an excellent review. I am going to read your Dream review right now.

Hi. I'm looking at this cruise too so I am very happy to see this thread. I have been to Bermuda twice many years ago & just loved it. We live on the water outside Pensacola so we stay put during hurricane season too. I read some of the reviews about the Victory here on CC & some were not very positive. I do realize that you have to take these reviews with a grain of salt & that a cruise is what you make it. Has anyone heard much about the Victory? I am thinking of sailing May 2016.

I'm glad that you had a great time on the Jewel. We sailed on her last year & thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The Jewel is my favorite ship so far.

I love sailing on Norwegian because of the overall happy atmosphere. Its like they actually want you to have a good time & go out of their way to make it happen.

Orlando was our butler on our Star cruise in 2012. He was excellent. Our butler on our Jewel cruise was not quite as good but I don't think that anyone could possibly measure up to Orlando. Has anyone else had Orlando as their butler ?

Yes. The Dawn is sailing from New Orleans in January 2016. I made reservations last week.

My husband & I were in an Aft Penthouse Suite (10164) on the Jewel in January and loved it. I hope that you have a wonderful cruise.
