  1. About the coffee card... If you, like me, really love a good cup of coffee the card is worth is. The coffee in the buffet and mdr are not fresh brewed, it's from a syrup, I think. It's pretty bad imo. The international cafe has good brewed coffee, and with the card it's unlimited along with the espresso punches.

Sent using only the power of my mind 😊

  2. Great! Thx for the feedback. One more question... Think we can squeeze in an hour pulmonia tour as well? If we do that first, we can have the driver drop us at the lighthouse, then take the water taxi to stone island. Too much for 1 day?

  3. i can't find anything recent on this topic, but I'm Going to be in mazatlan in 2 weeks and I remember reading about the lighthouse there. I'll be with my in great shape late 60s mom and two teenagers, is it doable to walk to the lighthouse and hike to the top from the port? My understanding is its pretty close, and that we could do that then walk over and take the water taxi to stone island. Am I completely off base? How long would just the lighthouse take? Both doable if we have all day?

  4. Yes it still is. However it is up to the driver to accept dollars or not. Although you now often get 15 pesos for a dollar, you better count on 1 dollar each per ride, maybe get change in pesos, maybe not. Remember the driver needs to go the bank in his freetime to change and often lines are long.

Good point, thank you! I definitely don't want to be rude! Is there an atm at the port? It's our first stop, and I'll want some cash anyways, maybe it's better just to pay in pesos?

  5. Received an upsell offer today, from inside to balcony for $129 pp, a little confused for a couple reasons. When I look for availability on their website for a cabin for 4 for my sailing it shows they are all sold out. Lots of balconies available when 2 people per stateroom is plugged in. Do they just send out to everyone with a certain type of cabin, and when I call they'll tell me there aren't any actual cabins available for us? Just seems odd they would even send one if there really weren't any balconies for four available...

I left a message for a call back, so hopefully I'll know more tomorrow, just curious!

  6. I have searched the forums trying to figure what would work best for us, but can't quite seem to find a good estimate of how much a taxi would be from LAX to one of the San Pedro hotels. Since there are 4 of us the super shuttle will cost $68. I'm not opposed to a shuttle, but if we can not wait around or take any detours for the same price it seems like the way to go. Guesstimates?

  7. In spite of some comments on another thread, I can't imagine too much luggage goes into the ocean. :)

I'm sure it doesn't happen super often, but my bag did get dropped into the Med when embarking in Barcelona a few years ago. They fished it out, were very apologetic, washed all my clothes, and paid for anything that was ruined. And it did make for a good dinner time conversation starter :)
