  1. I am posting this to correct above poster stating no fans in the cabanas. Cabana's at Barefoot Beach DO Have FANS! We just had OW7 Feb 2013. Here is a pic, you can see 2 blades of the fan. We didn't have it on as we didn't need it. We had a party of 8, 6 adults and 2 kids. I emailed the concierge months before our cruise to request and reserve OW7. My DH and I were in a GS the rest of our group was not. I received email permission from the concierge for a party of 8, printed and had that with us in case of a problem, but it was not even questioned. The 2 Evian bottles of water are very large. You also get snorkel equipment & floating mats (as many as you need or want for your party). You also have a cabana attendant that will bring you drinks and take your trash after lunch. We chose to enjoy our lunch in our cabana.

  2. I am a suite guest and I have sent out an email to the concierge on the Explorer, waiting to hear back from them. But as far as booking it on line with RCCL, it says check on board, it won't let me click the box to make a reservation. Anyone seen this before?

That is correct. The only ones you can book online is for Nellie's Beach open to everyone. If you are in a suite and want a cabana on Barefoot Beach (exclusive for suite guests). You have to email the concierge tell him what cabana you want and he will respond to let you know if you are confirmed for that cabana. The concierge on the Explorer is Mario Reyes, he is very good about responding. His email address is EX_Concierge@rccl.com be sure to include your room number and cruise reservation number. Here is the map of Barefoot beach the concierge sent me this past October. We had OW7 and loved it!

  3. So lucky to get the loungers!

Some sort of fire code on Allure and Oasis that they have just the two small chairs and taller table. Yet the family suite and full suites have all sorts of upholstered furniture. While I loved our JS on Allure (and am sure I will on Oasis), sure wish we had a lounger or two.

Friends of ours had a JS when we were on the Oasis this past Nov and they had a lounger.

  4. What time do they open?

We were just there last month. They operate on local time, not ship time which is different. We were there an hour before they opened. We were the first one's there a group of 4, we chose where we wanted to lounge and went for a swim in the ocean while we waited for them to open to pay our balance. They will come to you to collect your balance. Remember to pay in cash and bring your reservation print out, they will ask for it.

  5. I e-mailed Doctor's Cave for info this is the response

    hi,

admission is US$5.00 per adult, half for children under 12yrs.

chairs, umbrellas, floats, and snorkeling equipment are rented at US$5.00 per item.

we also havea food court with bars and restaurants that offer a wide variety of food and drinks.

we do not offer water sports activities at the beach, however if you like snorkeling you can rent a glass bottom boat and have a look at the coral reef etc.

    regards.
