  1. Need a little advice for canal day. If I take an excursion other than a full transit excursion of the locks ( I don't think I can convince DB to take that excursion) will I still have enough of a viewing of the Coral going through the locks? or will it be short lived? I do plan on taking getting off the ship and taking some type of excursion that won't be a full day. Thanks

  2. We also were on the March 22nd sailing in cabin E729. We had soot everyday in varying degrees. Our cabin steward only cleaned it if we asked. We kept cheap flip flops from Old Navy in front of the slider and slipped them on whenever we went onto the deck and back off again just inside so we wouldn't track any into the cabin. We also put towels on the chairs. We were prepared to have soot so it didn't bother us at all. The view was spectacular.

  3. I will be turning 50 during our March cruise aboard the Regal. Received a general email about the promotion. I happened to check my personalizer prior to calling my TA and it was already on my account. At least I assume it's because of the 50/50 promo, it wasn't there before and my boyfriend doesn't have it.

  4. At this point I'll settle for just becoming Elite. LOL. So close yet so far, only a few more cruises but knowing my luck the policy will change to strictly days when I'm one cruise away. (Sigh) work definitely gets in the way of my cruising life.

  5. Thank you everyone for your great suggestions! I have contacted my TA and she has been in touch with the appropriate department at Princess. The shower chair was a great idea, hadn't thought of that for the cruise just for home.

I had no problem canceling our excursions ( zip lining , horseback riding) 😓, oh well, good thing I love to read and DB loves to eat!

  6. Thanks so much for all of your thoughts😊 I believe I will go and relax. Those knee walkers look great but since I already have a lightweight folding transport chair that I use when I take my mom out, guess I can just use that with my crutches as a backup. Of course that means that DB will have a little extra work on his part. Also I think I will check to see if there are any of those extra leg room for a fee seats left on my flights

  7. Hello, just looking for opinions on this. Slipped and fell on ice this morning which resulted in a broken ankle. Thankfully I work for Orthopedic surgeons so I received VIP treatment. I will be non weight bearing for 6 weeks and I'm scheduled to embark the Crown in three weeks (1/25). I have Princess Platinum insurance so I can certainly cancel, but do I want to? Can anyone with experience let me know if it would be problematic getting around the ship on crutches/ transport chair? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
