  1. We purchased the portable Sunpass transponder a few years back. Great purchase! We travel to Disney alot, as well as cruise. It's very easy to log in and put the rental vehicle information in online. Highly recommend this if you travel to Florida fairly often.

  2. Kristi....they do have craft cocktails at "home". :)

Fantastic! Normally, we sit ourselves at the pool deck all day due to the small child. But he's not so small anymore and I think we will be doing more exploring this trip. We could never compete with your wandering, of course, but we will try!

Good luck with the transplant and please cruise again soon so we can read about your shenanigans!

  3. I'm so sad your trip is almost over! Luggage in the hallway is the worst.

Seriously, thank you for the best CC thread ever, and a fantastic way to get excited for our sailing in 2 weeks. I might even go "home" because of you (and I hate beer).

Thanks for entertaining us all week - you rock!

  4. We are a group of 9 - 5 adults, 4 kids (ages 12-17).

We were hoping to do the 6 hour island tour thing (brief shopping stop, Mountaintop, etc. then stop at Coki Beach for awhile).

I see Sunny Liston, Godfrey, & Air Force 1 recommended here - anyone have experience with these operators (or recommend another)? We used Godfrey previously but not as a private tour.

    TIA!

  5. I booked a cruise on January 31 for Feb 2016. I totally spaced about buying travel insurance within 15 days of booking for the pre-existing condition waiver.

Prices for my stateroom are the same as when I booked. Could I cancel & make a new booking so that I could get the pre-existing condition coverage?

  6. Sleep Inn sounds perfect for us! Thank you.

A much as I would like to get as close as possible to POM, I know I will probably be joining everyone late at night. I just don't feel comfortable shuttling or cabbing from FLL alone that late at night. This would be a quick hop from the airport.

    Thank you!

  7. Can anyone recommend a reasonable hotel? We don't need to be near the port. Since we are really only sleeping in the hotel, proximity to the beach or other sights isn't a concern. A pool and breakfast incl. are a plus, but not necessary.

I work in a school, so I am unable to take Friday off from work. Our group will probably fly down early Friday. I will have to pay through the nose to fly down Friday evening and join them. We always fly Southwest, so we will be flying in/out of FLL for our Miami cruise. Since I will most likely be joining the group rather late Friday, I think staying in FLL is the best route. Then we can all travel to POM in the morning together.

Also, is it easier to just take a cab(s) from a FLL hotel to the port of Miami, or are the shuttle services better?

  8. We stayed in Epic aft balcony 13282 last week.

Yes, you can hear some noise from Spice H2O at night. And yes, it is loud with lots of vibrations from the thrusters at times. If you are a very light sleeper, this is something to consider.

None of this bothered us much and we (and our friends in 13280) loved the aft balconies!
