Will there be local taxis to get us to the beach when we get to Barbados? Just want to hang out at the beach for the day. I'm seeing excursions through
NCL for over $100 per person. Thanks -
We have 3 couples, 3 different reservations, going out of San Juan on Feb 11 2024. We are getting the buy one get one offer on the air. I'm wondering how well the cruise line is with getting all 6 people on the same flight, flying out of the same airport, IAD.

I want to upgrade a friend from a window to a balcony and was told that the upgrade cost was over $1300. Don't understand, as they paid over $1300 apiece over a year ago. Rep says it has something to do with the offers at the time of the initial booking..Oh well. I keep trying.

I read that the beach bar at Horseshoe Bay is p[ermanently closed. Is there another bar or concession area that will open to serve that area?

Is there any place in Seattle to store luggage for the day, after an Alaska cruise? Our flight doesn't depart until 11pm. We would like to walk around town without towing our luggage.

We are debarking our ship at 9am and our flight doesn't leave until 11:30 that night. Is there a hotel where we can stay for the day, and/or any excursions to take in the meantime?

I was given a card from a fellow traveler who used Clinton's taxi service to do a private tour of the island, 3 hours...His card also reads Guava Short Trips and Tours. Has anyone else heard of him? The person I got the card from said it was a great tour and they saw most of the Island. $25 per person. If we do this tour with him, what are the "must sees" on the island? :D

Has anyone experienced the San Juan food and history tour? We are eight people who have reserved a 10am time. Just wondering how the tour was.

We are on the same cruise...4 couples.. We are doing mostly beach at each of the stops. In Dominica, we are going with a local tour guide, Woody, found on these boards. Also, for you past cruisers, are there any Valentine's Day celebrations onboard? Thanks:D

I'm going on the Breakaway at the end of Sept. I reserved the Italian restaurant. I see that many are reserving times for the main complimentary restaurants. Do you have to pick a time, or can you just walk in anytime and sit for dinner at these main dining areas?

When we drive to NYC, we park at the Port Imperial pier in New Jersey. The price is $11 a day, secure parking. We take the ferry over to the city. Drops off close to where the ship docks. Very easy to do, and saves lots of money!:D

Bermuda also has a lot to do with the number of passengers coming in to their country. Could be a deterrent.

I see that this show includes dinner. Are we able to see just the show and have dinner in one of the other restaurants later?

So, is the last shuttle from Talkeeta back to the lodge around 10pm? That should give us time to look around and find something to eat, if we take the 4:30 shuttle in to town. :D

Norwegian Jade to Alaska with kids
in Family Cruises
Posted
Our multigenerational family is booked on the NCL Jade southbound from Whittier to Vancouver in June, 2025. Is the Jade a kid friendly ship? And is Alaska kid friendly? I know that all of the parents can't wait to visit, l but I'm hoping the kids ages 8 to 13 have a great time as well. Thanks!
