We booked our first Silversea Cruise for the African Seychelles.  What is the average age onboard for this type of cruise?

C757 and C752 are both at the end of different hallways.  The question I have is if the door on the balcony between these cabins be opened?

We agree!  We get on the ship in a week and we already feel so spoiled!!!  We can't wait for this cruise. 🥰

Okay - minus the misstep in address - they confirmed we would be home for a delivery.  We got this huge box and I didn't know what the heck it could be - surely not cruise docs!  All our cruise docs are supposed to be delivered to us electronically now tomorrow and we will get our luggage tags at port.  However, since we booked the Navigator Suite we got THIS!!!!!!!!

Confirm they have your correct address - we had moved and our docs went to the wrong address (even though we receive all their brochures at our new address).

We got our refund processed on 6/11/2022.  Just wanted to follow up and let people know.

We cancelled our cruise before final payment.  Our TA got back to us and told us Windstar needed our security code on the credit card we used.  

Made a cancellation on May 9th (about a month before final payment)... still haven't received a refund.  Just emailed our TA to ask about it.

Got it.  Sounds like they did good having the main party on the pool deck.  

Do you have to do a COVID test to get off the ship in Miami?  If so, and you test positive, what happens?  Seems like protocols change so quickly that I can't keep up!

Look under specific cruise lines.  If they are on Oceania, they will post there.  If they are on Crystal they will post there.  Just examples.  

I think part of it depends on the size of the ship and location your cabin is on the ship... then add bad weather.  This is our worst from largest ship to smallest.

Sapphire Princess Inaugural Season - We were in an aft cabin balcony with 25 ft swells going from Australia to New Zealand (Tasman Sea).  Christmas trees were falling down and they had to close bars - too many  items breaking.  

Island Princess on an east coast Panama Canal Cruise - this time we the most forward cabin balcony on the Port side.  Don't recall the wave heights, but remember going airborne in bed and hearing the loud crashing of waves on the bow!

Pacific Princess - Transatlantic.  That ship was a bath toy in the middle of the Atlantic.  I have pictures of the water spraying over the ship.  That was the first and only time my husband got sea sick during a Bingo session at the front of the ship.  Luckily he was able to recover in a middle ship cabin (balcony mini-suite).

Wind Star - we were on the first floor in a port hole cabin in the Caribbean.  It wasn't the motion that was bad... it was looking out our 2 portholes at night and seeing the waves wash over them like you were in a washing machine!  Shut the curtains, turned the TV on and went to bed.  

Alaska can be more of an older crowd.  But I've gone once in my twenties, once in my thirties and plan to go next year in my forties.  I think the types of activities you do is where you will see active adults in ports.  Alaska has a wide range of activities and you'll see more active adults on moderate to high activity excursions.  Not sure if that answers your question.  

Either way - we've love Alaska every time and recommend it to everyone we know.  

On any Christmas/New Year's cruise, we bring 3M strips and multi-colored lights that have various settings and hang all around the cabin.  Bad part, it usually gets investigated that it isn't a fire hazard or damaging the trim on the upper walls.  Good part, cabin steward and anyone making deliveries loves it!

Pls be aware that a flightseeing plane went down today in or near Misty Fiords ... no survivors.  Pilot plus 5 pax off HALs Nieuw Amsterdam.

 

Likely impact mood in town and maybe some shore ex.

I actually did two tours with her in a two year period and I've actually done a tour with a nice gentleman Dave who also rents out the dock in the same building for his seaplane and his company is called mountain Air (Michelle was all booked up- or it was the way they need it to disperse the guest based off of weight restrictions. They used the same secretary in their little building). He is just as fantastic. I've done the bear sighting with both of them and then with Michelle I've also done the Misty fjords. So is Princess now doing 2 formal nights for a seven day cruise?  I thought it was always 1 and if you didn't want to go, you could just go to the buffet or order room service.
