  1. Just wondered if the wines Rodin brings you are included as part of the YC or are they at an extra cost?
  2. What, don't you use your elbow to press buttons rather than a finger??😲
  3. Depending on the particular CPAP machine, you may not need the converter that transforms 220 volts to 110 volts. Most new machines have a "power brick" setup that can accept almost any input voltage and the "brick" converts it to the proper power the machine needs. You'd only need to have a plug adapter to allow the male plug end of the power brick cord to fit into whatever female outlet you plan to use. Just check the specifications for what input voltage the power brick can accept...
  4. That's why I said to bring european plug adapters. I bet there was an European outlet somewhare closer tham the closet that you couid have used with your own extension cord
  5. I always have an extension cord for that. Yes, tbe YC butler should be able to get one but you never know when one won't be available. Pre- or post-cruise hotel may prove to need one and probably won't have a butler for that room...
  6. Not sure about the mera, but on seascape YC there was an outlet close enough for a CPAP. Bring an extension cord just in case. Also, most machines have a power converter (brick) and can use 100-240 volts. Most cabins should have some European outlets so if you also bring a plug adapter (not a transformer/converter) you should be able to easily supply power to the CPAP.
  7. That is correct. A round trip (or closed loop) US to US cruise only needs to visit a foreign port. For a one way trip (open loop) US to US cruise, the foreign port must be a distant one... And yes, that is for foreign flagged passenger vessels. If the ship is US flagged, I believe just about any itinerary is allowable. However, there aren't many US plagged cruise ships. Other than NCL doing the Hawaii closed loop cruises without a foreign port, I can't think of any... Niot sure about the US river cruises and inland waterway cruises...
  8. It needs to be a DISTANT foreign port on a non-closed loop cruise so OC or Coz wouldn't do it. Probably have to go all the way down to one of the ABC islands to work
  9. Doesn't the photo state that the APPARENT wind is 12 knots, not the ACTUAL wind speed. That equates to about 14 mph which is considered a moderate breeze (13-18 mph) and that would move small branches or raise dust and loose paper from the ground and move them along. Hardly a reason to limit access to outside areas of the ship IMHO...
  10. Seems like adding a US port into the itinerary might open MSC subject to violations of the Passenger Vessel Services Act. I guess it'd be OK if they didn't allow any new passengers to board at Miami, but it could complicate life nevertheless. CBP may not even show up since there won't have been any foreign stops yet, but the casino can't open while in port and it just won't be as relaxing and scenic (IMHO) as a day at sea.
  11. I thought that the key card in the slot was only to keep the lights and A/C on. I was under the impression that the outlets stayed "ON" (for charging devices) even if the card was removed...
  12. You are correct that Concord could do LAX-HNL. It was the USA to Australia that I said it couldn't do...
  13. Yeah, that would've been nice, but the Concorde did not have enough range to fly from the US to Australia, not even Hawaii to Sydney...
  14. Brochure shows a Port Canaveral departure with only 2 port calls and also excursions at ports other than those 2 shown - I thought you left from MIA on a 7 night cruise... Typical MSC lack of attention to detail
  15. I don't know how much "extra" YCers spend on board since most everything is already included in the fare anyway....
