I can recommend the Rawson Hotel directly opposite the OPT. Happy hour 4-7 pm weekdays as well ! We dined there on Monday night and stared up at the Ovation of the Seas. Cheers,Buzz.

We have 7 days till embarkation and now when I log into the app it shows a spinning wheel thing which does not resolve itself. I can see chat feature, order feature but ship schedule and first screen just spin. Is this likely to resolve itself or should I uninstall the app and try again ? IOS phone. Cheers, Buzz.

I agree, but $13K is for the same cruise with more elbow room and not much more amenity. It is only the minimum bid to upgrade. If I could justify it at the time, I would be all for it, but would rather spend 13K on more immersive tours than cabin space. I can see the temptation.
I think, if some one can afford a 110 day world cruise, another 6 grand pp for more space is well worth it. Years ago we paid for an upgrade to a Penthouse Suite on Diamond Princess and loved the space, after previously cruising in balcony cabins. That cruise was only 8 days.

There is a rub though. In most cases you are bidding for cabins that aren't available. All of the suites on this cruise are currently sold-out. We have also received the same offer for our February cruise, and the suites have been waitlisted for months.
It just says Princess.com , no obvious sign of an outside mob sending the email. Princess Cruise Line LTD , 24305 Town Center Drive, Santa Clarita , CA 91355.
Booked direct with Princess. When I booked , which was 527 days out, Suites were already marked as sold out.
I wonder if, some one , not me, offered a gazillion dollars for the upgrade , would Princess then offer the encumbents a move over offer ? Cheers, Buzz.

I had heard and read about these bidding things and finally got one ! We are currently booked in an M1 Mini Suite. To upgrade to a Premium Suite : From $10699 pp. To upgrade to a Vista Suite :From $1685 pp. These are for the 35 night cruise in March 2024. Wallet stays zipped for us. Cheers, Buzz.

I just downloaded the new app on my Iphone. I logged in and all details of our next cruise had carried over ! It even shows "ready to sail" as opposed to Blue Lane on the old app. I hope it stays as accurate. Cheers, Buzz.

My opinion is, Full suite and Reserve Collection mini suites use the reserve collection dining area. No guests . Cheers, Buzz.

I have noticed Princess Prizes dropped off our package a few times then reappear the next time I look. They seem to set an expiry date then set a new one at whim. Cheers, Buzz.

I can confirm the Plus package is $65 AUD and the Premier package is $95 AUD for us Australian Princess cruisers. Cheers, Buzz.

If so I recommend going to the House Without a Key restaurant/bar at the Halekulani Hotel for sunset drinks and very nice bar snacks. They have a Hawaiian band and the night we were there they had a hula dancer as well. We really enjoyed it and would definitely go back again.

We have the same never again feeling with P&O . We found our Pacific Explorer cruise not to our liking for a variety of reasons. Then again we didn't like Voyager Of The Seas either, so crowded ! Maybe we need to buy our own ship ! Cheers, Buzz.

Hello , about 2 weeks ago I received an email from Princess advising of an Itineray change for Hawaii cruise.
Purcased shore excursions would be refunded to original form of payment. I had paid for 2 excursions via my credit card , so I was expecting the refund to that card. The consultant told me the refunds had gone to my onboard credit. I queried this and was told, as I had on board credit, this had been pooled into my booked excursions ! The obc amount is exactly what I paid via my credit card.
