Hi congrats of reaching Diamond. You get both, 3 drinks on your card you can use at any bar during the Happy Hours...and you can also visit the Diamond Lounge. The drinks in the DL do not count towards your 3 drinks loaded on your card.

There will be a letter in your room with all the information.

    Enjoy your new status!

Thank you for the info. That is what I thought it would be. Traveling with a group and I am the only diamond member. If I get those drinks, no need for that crazy beverage package!

    Cheers! 🥂🍸🥂

  2. Our pick-up instructions came when we booked. They pick up is right near where the ship docks and sounds easy to find. Not worried on that front. Our package does include the round trip transport from the ship, where some others do not.

How was the sunset curs ion booked through shore trips? Looking to book something for October?

  3. Taking my first carnival cruise, starting with the best on Vista.

Can someone explain this early saver rate to me?

If I want to make a cabin change in the exact same category, is that allowed?

If there is a price drop? Is it done automatically or something I have to catch and call about?

Any other tips on this ship or rate would be appreciate.

    Thanks!

  4. I just booked today for an interior Solo on an 8 day southern for October 2017.

    Paid $1853

Been watching prices for 2 months and have seen no change.

    Did get $50 OBC

    2 category upgrade

    Reduced deposit.

Plus if you have a lot of Marriott points, book through them. You can use points for dollar off. I cashed in 63000 points for $250 off which paid my deposit. 125000 points is $500 off. And u earn points on dollar spent.

Thanks everyone for posting. These prices helps me decide on if the 8 day is a better value since I'm solo and the prices are not dropping. I'm looking at March, April, May or June 2017. Instead of taking two cruises this year; I may just do an 8 day. Now I just have to plan around grad school (Spring break is March 14- 20; classes ends May 14; Commencement is not scheduled yet :-( ), work, and Matt (Sorry, but I love Matt and can't risk having a bad cruise director, too bad he's on break in March). Thanks everyone.

  5. HI

Can you go into Sabor for just guacamole & a margarita or is it just a full meal dining option? Is it open for lunches?

    Thanks.

The chips and guacamole were $10, they asked if we could sit in schooner bar since they didn't have any open tables. The waiter came out and served us. And got drink refills. If you want just a drink you can walk in and ask and they will make one for you. Not sure if they were included in drink package as I didn't have one. They were quite helpful and accommodating during the dinner rush.

    Plus both were extremely delicious!:)

  6. Hi everyone,

Just got off the Navigator today on a quick 3 day cruise. Disappointed we missed Coco Cay, as it is one of my favorite places to visit.

    Highs

    -service was great

    - nice layout. Very similar to Freedom. Easy to get around

-Sabor guacamole and margaritas are amazing. My new favorite snack and drinks on board

    Lows

-poor casino lay out with limited new slots

    -missed coco cay

-they could do a better job at cleaning up glasses laying around ship

I completed another class off my bucket list. All I have left is the Quantum class. Not sure when that will happen, as those ships aren't based in Florida. Hopefully next up will be Harmony next year. The Oasis class is still my favorite.

I am cheating on Royal Caribbean this summer and heading out on NCL's Escape.

If you have any questions about Navigator let me know and I will do my best to answer.

  7. I was on allure last week. I put a luggage tag on a case of water and it was delivered to our stateroom no problem. I like to have water in room and for port stops.

I also had a six pack of Pepsi in one of my bags, it was delivered no problem as well.

Took two bottles of wine in carry on, security didn't even take it out of bag to look at.

  8. Curious about the so called "religious" group?

What was it that changed the tone of the trip? why did it affect you?

Seems odd to me that you would bring it up unless they were in your face with trying to change you, etc

Ships take on their weekly personality based on the demographics sailing them.

The numbers of this group were over 3000, they were very family oriented and stuck to themselves. Which is fine. Had no issue with the group personally. It just changed the vibe of the ship. You could definitely see the personality of the ship change based on the types of people that are on the ship. IE spring break crowd, summer family crowd, senior crowd, etc.

This is just what I noticed based on my previous sailings. I have never noticed large groups before.
