  1. Going on Reflection this 28 Oct on A2, is the Persian Gardens still the same with steam , sauna and cold rooms ? Enjoyed the Haman treatment in Istanbul last year do Reflection have any  such ''scrubs' and massages ? Also will be going on Edge next year in Sept will there be a Persian Gardens having similar  steam rooms ?

    Many Thanks,

  2. :

There was a fill-a-bag offer for $45 on our Reflection cruise which finished on Friday but it wasn't offered til quite late on the cruise. It was the same standard white paper bag used for normal laundry, which we could fill as much as we liked as long as it didn't tear.

Super to know that I'll not lug dirty laundry back Will pack carefully.

    :D Thanks so much

  3. Trying not to lug heavy luggage so would be most grateful to know if they give a brown paper bag which you fill up to be laundered for a fixed price during your cruise. We had coupons for this on our 2 Oct 2015 cruise a 13 nights and past cruises which were 12 nights. Will be pre-cruising 5nights in Athens to rendezvous with old pals as well as touring mainland Greece..

    Many thanks :)

  4. Super, many thanks for your kind help cruisemom and euro cruiser, just what we needed Looks like the ferry it is . We had a awesome time in 2012 with our tour guide. He was the owner and went out on a limb to show as as much as he could, hit all the spots and then some but it was a rush, we drove up to the ship 20 minutes before sailing ! So this time we thought we'll do just 1 or 2 places.:D

  5. Hi We're 2 sisters in our 60s thinking of going to either Amalfi or Sorrento via the Ferry and back by train from Naples on a Sunday 9 Oct . Celebrity docks at 7 and sail at 6.30.

We have enjoyed the Amalfi coast twice on private tours(Johnny M) Thinking of taking it easy and shopping for Limoncello sweets there and having a nice meal. We haven't been in Naples on a Sunday and we haven't taken any public transport in Italy, I am sadly illiterate in Latin. Many Thanks.

  6. I've used Roma Shuttle's shared shuttle several times, both for myself and for my parents and have had good experiences for a reasonable cost.

There are several companies that sound almost the same, so here is the correct one:https://www.romashuttle.com/

    Thanks cruisemom,

Did the shuttle deliver you to the cruiseship terminal itself ? I have booked them but the confirmation just said Civi port, I did tell them we're on

X Reflection . We're adverse to taxing our elderly joints before our cruise !

  7. Your city/area and SE Asia are on my future "to-do" list for after we do Australia and New Zealand in early 2014.

    Thanks Terry,

If you have any queries would be most happy to help for our area. We're doing Australia & New Zealand in

March 2013, there is a price reduction on certain cabin cat for seniors so we grab it to go on Solstice again !

Member on our roll call told us of the price drop. Lovely group that did a lot of research so we're almost

    completely booked for tours .

  8. Sorry to hear about your hot spell and electrical problems.Thank you for your great photos of your cruise thus prompting us to book this year's similar Solstice cruise on 2 Oct .Please can you tell us when are the 3 formal nights held ? We did the Med & Greek isles last Sept and loved it, formal nights were on sea days. This Oct, 1st sea day is on 6th day and the next 2 sea days are 11 & 12 ! Only 3 sea days for the whole cruise.

    Many thanks,

    ec

  9. Thanks everyone for your input, especially Sally, emo . We're in 1578 & 1582 so we hope they are nice cabins(with beds next to bath?) for our Med. cruise on Solstice. Introducing some pals to Celebrity on our 2nd cruise as we had a super time last Sept in 7163. NIce quiet cabin and great attendents, easy access to exits, so very sad to leave Solstice on our last day. Afraid I'm not computer savvy and haven't progressed to posting photos.

Sally my email is echineteo@gmail.com. Thanks

  10.

    Hi

We had one of those top cabins in Nereus's pics. Along with the obstruction, we also had that big white thing that hangs down from the ship parked in front of our balcony the whole time. It is called a window washer and did not move. I think that you might find this same set up on the Eclipse, Equinox and Solstice. This was an Aqua class cabin.

    Hi Sally,

What was your cabin no please ? We got bumped up to Aqua class by our TA when prices dropped . Certainly don't want to be in the same one with the stationary window washer. We were safely right in the middle of the ship before the change !

    Thanks:)ec

  11. Has anyone used Barcelona day tours? If so what did you like them and do they have English speaking guides? We will be in Barcelona 2 days pre cruise and want to see as much as we can.

Hi Larry, we used them last Sept n will likely use them again this Oct . We did a 1/2 day tour around Barcelona with Christian in his Merc, pick us from the airport visited Casa Mila, Mountjuic, Parc Guell & Santa Maria del Mar, drove around Eixample, Port Olympic N Sagrada Familia before depositing us at our hotel. We also joined 4 members in our roll call and did a great Cava n Monserrat Tour in a minivan.

Both drivers cum guide are english speaking and did their very best to show us around, amiable to our needs, pick us & drop us off wherever we want when possible. What a lovely start to our Solstice cruise !

    Enjoy.
