Thanks for posting this question! I wasn't sure if it was acceptable, either.

I hope I don't have to wear a mask on board but I won't cancel if I do. I NEED a vacation and we have a nice room and balcony to hang out on (all week if need be). I'll just put on my mask to hop down to Alchemy and take my drink back to my room.
I could have written exactly this! LOL We are booked on the Magic in Sept and strategically chose our balcony room in proximity to a staircase close to Alchemy. #priorities

Ummm, no such thing as an undrinkable wine, LOL!;)
I disagree. Life is too short to drink bad wine... ;) I (personally) agree about the bottle of white - my husband and I thought it was terrible. We now opt for the 50% off. It all comes down to personal taste.
Honestly, though, just because I don't like something doesn't mean it's undrinkable; it's just not my style. I used to work in a wine shop, and I learned very quickly that our taste buds and preferences are almost as unique as our finger prints. Too each, their own.

We try to book while on board and then transfer to an online cruise travel company. I like doing that so I can stack my perks.

We just bought out 2 packs of 3 small wheels each on our stop in Curacao last week. They are $25 for a 3-pack (Cumin, Garlic Herb, and Black Pepper). This is our second time buying the 3-pack so we knew we liked those flavors already. They did have bigger wheels - maybe around $30 - but we weren't looking for that this time.
There are 2 or 3 shops as soon as you walk over the concrete bridge from the ship. We hoofed it to downtown shopping area to see if we could find anything else, and we couldn't. We ended buying our cheese at the little stops within the port area.

Just off Vista. We showed up to the steakhouse on embarkation day and easily made a reservation for later that night. They are still offering the free bottle of wine (or a 50% discount on any bottle) the first night and the first elegant night. We haven't had a problem (yet) booking the steakhouse for the night.

try polar pro filters - their hero 4 range also fit the newer hero/hero + cameras as i have a 4 and my son has the hero.
This is helpful. Thanks!

I'm about at my wits' end. We bought the Go Pro Hero+ because it can go down to 131', which is more than enough for our diving. It worked great last week in Cozumel, but the colors were washed out. I thought, ok, no problem, I'll just buy a filter. Ha! I even called GoPro to ask about a filter that would fit and got a no.
Has anyone had any luck finding or rigging up a red filter to this model??

I was on the cruise with you, first Celebrity, in our late 30's, and as I reading through your review I just kept nodding my head. The other passengers were awesome, and I can't say enough about the staff and ship overall. I agree with almost everything you said and am sure that when I sit down to write out my cruise review on my own blog that it will sound very much like yours.
We loved our experience so much that we booked Silhouette for 3/2018 and Edge for 3/2019. That says a lot for us as we normally don't book future cruises while onboard.

The same girlfriend who slept on the couch just got back from another cruise on the Wonder (with her husband and son this time), and they had a very similar stateroom but at the front of the ship. She said that the room was fantastic, no crazy vibrations whatsoever. Definitely an aft issue.

It will cover anyone in your household that is traveling on the cruise with you. You need to list out each person who is going on the trip. I use InsureMyTrip.com and pick the package that is best for that trip. My husband travels a lot for work, so I usually get Cancel for Work Reasons, which is a little more pricey. Other times, for shorter trips, I'll just get medical coverage or basic trip cancellation/interruption.

Yes!! But make mine extra dirty, please :)
Yes! With blue cheese olives. Hold the vermouth:)

I suspect you were experiencing normal engine noise and the associated vibration. I make this differentiation because my understanding is that the thrusters are used only for short bursts while the ship is docking (I'm sure the Chief or one of our more experienced nautical individuals will correct me if this is wrong).
We've had thruster noise and vibrations which were not a problem only because they persisted for a very short time. We've also had a cabin with a "squeak" while the ship was moving' date=' which was awful. GS did get us some help although it did not fully eliminate the problem.
Sorry you had a rough time, and thanks for reporting it here and to DCL.[/quote']
My husband and I usually stay in an Aft cabin on an upper floor, and I have not experienced such a sustained vibration (read: 8+ hours each night). It is definitely more noticeable when you are laying down. When were moving more slowly, there were no vibrations or noise whatsoever in this room, but it is most certainly a thruster effect, which unfortunately was not short bursts. I know what the short bursts feel like, and this was not that. I've also heard squeaking in our Aft rooms as a result of the use of thrusters, and this was way beyond that as well.
The friend who had the couch is a platinum Disney cruiser who has also cruised other lines, and she has never experienced this either. She thought it may be due to the fact that the ship is older, but who knows.

Hi, folks! I just got back from a short girls' weekend cruise on the Wonder, and I wanted to put out a word of warning to those of you cruising soon.
We stayed in 7118 (Oceanview w/ Veranda AFT). When the ship was moving quickly to get from one place to another, which was every night for us, the thrusters created a horrible vibration that you could feel in the bed. One member of our group of three slept on the pull out couch, which had less cushion from the vibration and shook all night. It was constant and neither she nor I slept well at all (our third girl is a super heavy sleeper and wasn't bothered as much). In addition to the vibration, the ceiling rattled constantly.
We took videos with full sound of the vibration, which will be sent to the cruiseline this week. Shims had been shoved in the space between the wall and the ceiling, but these didn't help with the noise. I would hope that the maintenance crew would address the ceiling issues soon, but if you are cruising in the next couple of weeks, you might want to bring a sound machine or download a white noise app if you are a light sleeper and staying in an Aft room.
Friends staying on the same floor and room type but Forward did not experience the same vibrations and noise.
Other than the room (and a couple minor annoyances that aren't worth reviewing), the cruise itself was WONDERful. :)

Just saw the story on the news. Seems to be limited to Miami, which is a huge cruise departure city. Hoping it stays isolated and doesn't spread to other areas. Use your mosquito repellant!

We took the bus from port to downtown Chania a couple weeks ago, but we couldn't orient ourselves right away. I hope this helps someone else get their bearings more quickly than we did. When the bus drops you off, right in front of you is the main agora. You walk through or around it toward your left to cut through all the shops to get to the restaurants on the harbor. Edit: I'm SO sorry that it's huge! This is my first attempt at adding a photo.

I'm seeing 5 euro one way after a couple different Google searches. For those who have been recently, is that correct?

:( I see the tag line just says "Free exchanges." Crap.

It takes some real serious heat in my house for my coconut oil to liquefy. We had a few days in the PNW recently, where my inside house temp got to about 87, and that did the trick, but for the most part it stays pretty solid.
I'm a Floridian, and we keep our house around 78/79 during the summer months. The oil I have sits in our pantry that is on a garage-side wall so it's also a couple degrees warmer. I've had it liquefy during travel, and that was on a cruise. I guess I'm just used to seeing it more liquid than solid where I live...
-
I will let you know what I decide to use and how it went. My assumption is that the oil will be more solid most of the time, but if it would get warm enough to liquefy, I don't want any leakage:)

How about baby food jars? You could always put in plastic and wrap in clothes to prevent breakage, but they are a good size and seal tightly. Whether you choose to eat the baby food first is your choice. LOL
Wow, never thought of that! We don't have kids so that definitely was not even on my radar!
-
I want to decant into a container to be put in checked luggage. I will probably take one of the tiny containers I already have to keep in my carry-on and just lay plastic wrap under the lid so I have a tiny amount actually with me on the trip.
Is celebrity one entree at a time as well>

We’ve never run into an issue ordering 2 appetizers each. In the MDR, DH and I will usually have one entree each, and if there’s another we really want to try, we’ll order a third to split. Never had an issue with this, and they always set the third between us. I have not ordered the extra lobster tail as a third entree.
I frequently ask the opinion of our waiter if I’m unsure of a dish because they see what often goes back and/or is uneaten. Their advice is usually spot on.
