As much as I love the Princess menu, it is a "western menu" made for western people, cooked by (usually) Asian cooks.
My secret or tip is to ask the waiter who the best chef is and ask if tomorrow that chef can prepare you some entrees (or family style) dished from his home country.
After so many cruises this is a great way to switch it up and to see what the chefs can really do. They always appreciate compliments on these dished and usually come out to see how you like them!
(This is "above and beyond," so be very polite and not demanding and try to schedule in advance or for the next day).

I know this is a dead thread, but for those interested I have been reading a blog from a "retired" art auctioneer. There isn't any information about the art auctions, but just cruise ship life in general. Here it is if you are interested: Cruise Ship Art Auction Blog
I will be on Diamond in the Fall - hope to at least drink lots of champagne, can't afford to spend 2-3K on a print right now!

I can't believe the Captains are getting paid too much because there are no Americans (that I've heard of) as Captains.
There are some descriptions of the cruise ship blogs with this fellow's blog: Crew Member Blog
There are some great comments about working on board and the jobs, but nothing as "specific" as 50k-120k!

I answered trivia questions several years ago on Carnival and won my choice of 3 out
of serveral prints. Paid 8.00 for shipping and handling for each. They came in wonderful
mailing tubes......really good ones, probably worth the 8.00. I had one framed, actually
an odd piece with two masked people during Carnivale in Venice. Everyone who visits
comments on that one picture.
My brother is fortunate enough to have two Behrens originals.....large paintings done on
vacation on the east coast of the US....vastly different from most of his works.
I'd be shocked to see any of his originals for sale on a cruise ship, but prints, lithographs
and giclees, yes. The chances of realizing a profit from any of them is slim to none,
but the joy of looking at them, and the memories of where you obtained them.....priceless.
My last cruise I saw many Behrens oil paintings and they were legit.
