I have made it off harmony twice at the airport by 6:45 and 7. Last time on freedom it was delayed and a hot mess with the crew I was able to make it at the airport by 7:25. It can be done but it may not hurt to have a plan b or be willing to pay more if you happen to miss it.

I have had several cruises delayed due to medical emergency, I didn't become unhinged or wanted to know who to sue. Life happens it took 5 cruises to finally make it to the Caymans. I think this is a prime example of the entitled. They only think about themselves I have seen these post even a few hours after the news broke wanting a free cruise and didn't even care about the person who jump. It is sad a few hundred bucks and a couple hours mean more than someone life. What if that was you or one of your loved ones that took the plunge what would be your response then?.....leave the behind because I'm cheap and book the cheapest earliest flight to save a dime. The other argument if your to dumb to understand what you sign in the cruise contract then be all means don't cruise this is why I have stopped eating in the MDR with a table full of whiners.

Read the cruise contract that you sign, be advise of the guidelines they recommend on departing flights in case of delays. Also don't travel if you can't afford or the potential for delays. If you can't afford it, then travel and extra health insurance probably would be beneficial.

Really I believe the biggest complaint would be the lack of communication, if they are planning on changing the perks it is nice to have a heads up and not to be blindsided while on board. Just like the disastrous launch of their new website. I hate to say it but to me it seems to be poor upper management.

The age of entitlement would be a first timer cruiser demanding same benefits, this is a rewards based loyalty program which is a token of appreciation for coming back so often. There is nothing free on a cruise on Royal and you know that. It's all paid for when passage is bought. There are things with no up charge or discounts. Royal does not have a supplier giving them booze with no charge nor some sat company giving them a tower or free access to a satalite. It's the age of entitlement.Sent from my H1611 using Forums mobile app

I would have preferred rage against the machine over the crap they played on the freedom this past Nov, worst playlist ever also the flow rider was broke down for the last two days, that being said it was still a good cruise.

I do know it is easier to enter a flight number and time the day of and just show up at the airport the workers there only really check to see if you paid for the shuttle. Booking with royal 90% of the time they won't book it unless you give them some false information. On the excursion experience I haven't done it yet, looking at that option when in Copenhagen but I'm not for sure if the luggage rides with you or they actually take it separate and check it in for you.

My guess would be by March Symphony have any issues worked out and normally Royal loads up the newer ships with its top performers as far as the employees since the consumer is paying more of a premium to sail on it.I'm really torn. They're so similar. Wondering if Harmony will be more polished than Symphony since it's been a few years she's been afloat.Sent from my iPhone using Forums

At 340 solo you only have to pay 1.5 supplement, I'm not for sure if the balcony discount is applied on top of that. You still get the balcony discount and your personalized amenity(s).I cannot think of anything you would not get as a solo.

I enjoy most of the shows, the crew 2 out of the 3 times have been fabulous. I haven't seen that type of service since the mid 90's on most of the other ships. I enjoy the sports activities 2 flowriders and water slides although someone has buttcheek the blue slide there is a new found dip when going down it. Also the ship is well maintained and clean no tears in the carpet or seats the some of the older ships tend to have. The little things like that mean more to me the the view from the d-lounge or a tiny pool in the solarium.

For me it's cheaper non-stop flight to Fort Lauderdale, but really it's a $15-$20 shuttle ride away from Miami

I have gotten several guarantee rooms before solo with a discount on double occupancy but the majority of the time it is 350-400% higher. I don't mind paying double, it is paying triple to quadruple I tend to pass or wait and see.

Really the biggest problem I see is booking a nonrefundable and then changing the sail date that got the game $100 fee. It was stated in the contract and highly chatted about on a lot of forums. That is part of the deal on getting a cheaper rate and extra onboard credit.

I would say with others being reassigned to different cabins and they're not listed on the newest deck plans it would be safely to assume that those cabins aren't going to make it on this shop. I would agree the easiest solution is to call and asked to switch to a different cabin.

They're not showing up in the category of rooms on the newest deck plans and I couldn't find any available to book.

For the most part after cruising for over the last 20 years the dress code has gone down, the food quality has gone down and the service for the most part has gone down. One exception would be the harmony cruise this past Apr excellent service this past Aug just average at best. I really don't care what people wear unless it is just really trashy and tacky.

The cost was actually more then when I was on it in Apr like most cruises it tends to be more of supply and demand for pricing. That sailing did have over 1500 kids on-board and was completely sold out. I was just indicating that when I booked it I knew that either ports could be changed or cancelled. I personally don't buy the extra insurance for the fact that I don't care to deal with the extra hassle if something does go wrong. I just accept the fact that life happens. If things change that is fine royal has cancelled a few of my cruises and I have thought they have always treated me fairly. That being said I don't expect to be giving a instant lottery pick either. Also I normally don't book in the winter time mainly because I know the odds a lot greater of getting snowed in and missing the ship.

Obviously people haven't been keeping up with all that royal has done to help provide relief for the islands as well as the cruisers. Any seasoned cruiser should understand the risk is higher sailing this time of year. Also by such risk the prices tend to be cheaper for that trade off. I was on the harmony last week in Aug and knew full well that when I booked it life can happened. My advice is a vacation shouldn't be stressful it should be relaxing. I get the inconvenience aspect but if that is a major concern the maybe a all inclusive resort or just a typical land vacation would be more suited for the net sayers. Remember you always have a choice next time if you del that a different cruise line handled the situation better than sail with them.

Yes I would say the slides are faster than on liberty and should also have more fall to them with harmony have a few more decks and in my opinion better water pressure. On liberty it is best to even arch your back up and try and cruise down on your heel of your foot can usually make the difference in winning the water slide competition.

If you have a ball cap on they ask you to put it in your t-shirt, mainly when sliding down you want to keep in mind to keep your elbows in towards your body. If they drift outwards good possibly they will get burned. Also with the water slides it is best not to have on any t-shirts or extra clothing creating a drag and occasionally can come to a stop in the slide.
