    You can get drinks using your DOU card as long as you are in the casino.  You can leave once you get your drink, no problem.  We do that and often go sit out on our balcony and enjoy the peace and quiet.  (Trust me, I still gamble more than my fair share... lol)

    So I don't need to be actively playing, I can just go up to the bar and order?

    I'll be sailing in 12 days on a Thanksgiving cruise and was wondering about Drinks On Us.

    Obviously I spent a lot , played a lot  and won a lot less..(haha) on my last cruise and I was offered a $500 obc and the Drinks On Us card. 

    My question is this...If I plan on putting a few dollars in a machine (let's say $2.00),order a drink and then leave the casino with my drink, would they say something? This cruise I will be with a large group of people and don't plan on spending much time in the casino during the daytime, as I will be with my family. I am sure I will make up for it at night..(love the casino) So I was wondering if it will be okay to order a drink and leave. Anyone ever done this? I would hate to get yelled at or have the privilege removed. 

    Oh and I wanted to mention something else. Since I have the Drinks On Us card, will I be allowed to purchase the cheers for my husband only? Since Drinks On Us and Cheers are kinda similar (15 drinks) max a day and they cannot be combined. 

    On my last cruise I had cheers and earned the Drinks On Us, but I reached my max drinks on Cheers and wasn't able to get another one with Drinks On Us. 

     

    I am not here for judgement so please keep negative comments to yourself.  My last cruise was with my daughter for her 21st birthday (Girls Trip, she was just 5 days shy of turning 21) and we shared Cheers.

    We hired a tour guide, but thought I check on this forum just in case someone knows of a cool place for reggae music, even if it isn't live...just want a good time.

    We loved the pork chop! Here are some pictures! [ATTACH]328541[/ATTACH] here is the pork chop!

    [ATTACH]328542[/ATTACH] steak and eggs-- it was ok-- nothing to write home about-- the steak is more like a 2 inch steak medallion!

    [ATTACH]328543[/ATTACH] fruit loops French toast-- again looks better than it tastes

    [ATTACH]328544[/ATTACH] eggs Benedict --- would have been better to ask for the hollandaise sauce on the side so they don't bake it!

    [ATTACH]328545[/ATTACH] some kind of pasta in tomatoe sauce with fried cheese on top- husband said it was pretty good

    [ATTACH]328546[/ATTACH] bacon Mac and cheese-- just there-- the bacon was good tho! Hope this helps!! :)

    Carib1, several people witnessed what happened and I just can't believe that people allowed their children to just act crazy. Continue to read my review as there was another incident that actually happened to me and my DH.

    If I would have witnessed any of that nonsense I would have corrected them myself. Which I've done in the past. Sometimes All I need to do is give them "The Look".

     

    I don't understand how parents allow their children to act in such a way. If the parents don't want to be bothered with the kids, then they should be left at home.

     

    When on vacation, cruise or not, our children know better. We teach them to be respectful of others, we do not under any circumstance leave them unattended, unless they are at the kids camp, and thankfully they are on their best behavior there as well.

     

    My husband works hard so we can enjoy our vacation, just as the rest of the ppl on the ship or at a resort.

    I explain to them the importance of being well mannered and respectful.

    Live Reggae Music and Food

    Don't really know of any off hand. You're best bet would be in town somewhere, and even there I'm not sure what you'll find as far as live music during the day.

     

     

     

    Dunn's is out of town and I don't recall any kind of bars around it. Maybe someone else can help, but I'm going to say there are a couple of beach clubs that might have some live entertainment while a ship is in town, but I don't know for sure.

     

     

     

    I've never found a great place to go and hang out in Ocho Rios like I have in Montego Bay or Negril areas (Unfortunately). One of our favorite things to do on a cruise is find a local dive bar with some ocean breezes, good drinks and friendly locals. Haven't found that combo in OR yet.

     

     

    Do you know of any spots in Mobay?

    Luggage Express Dream

    Luggage Express is a special program where for a charge of $20 or $25 per person Carnival will transfer your bags directly from outside of your cabin to your flight and the next time you see them is at your home airport. They also print your boarding pass. It means when you leave the ship you don't have to go through "millions" of back suitcases looking for yours. You still clear customs but without your luggage. We use it all the time and it is wonderful. Cab drivers love you! I just hope it is offered in Tampa.
