    "Itinerary Updates

    10/09/17 – 8:00 AM (EDT)

Carnival Fascination – Southern Caribbean Cruises

We have been working very closely with our partners in San Juan over the last couple of weeks, and based on the assessment of our terminal facilities, support services and local conditions, we are happy to announce that we will be returning to San Juan to resume cruises to the Southern Caribbean, effective with Carnival Fascination’s October 15 sailing. Our team’s visit this past week confirmed the Old San Juan area is ready to receive tourists. Many shops and businesses have returned to their normal business operations with more opening up every day."

It goes on to list the itinerary details.

    ITINERARY UPDATES 10/11/2017 – 7:00PM (EDT)

Carnival Fascination – Southern Caribbean Cruises

Earlier this week, we communicated that we were ready to resume our operation from San Juan on Carnival Fascination, with our first cruise departing this Sunday. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has since asked us to support the relief and rebuilding efforts and Carnival Fascination has been chartered to provide housing for relief workers in the U.S. Virgin Islands. This means the ship’s departures from October 15, 2017 through January 28, 2018 will be cancelled. Carnival Fascination will return to year-round service from San Juan beginning February 18, 2018.

We recognize how important vacations are and we sincerely apologize for the disruption this late change in plans has caused our guests and travel partners. We value your trust in us and hope you understand that this decision was made after careful consideration of the great need to support the recovery efforts in the region.

Guests on cancelled sailings will be notified by Carnival or their travel professional.

  3. You can board at 12. Entertainment on the shop will be available all day. You could tour old San Jaun, there is a old Fort very near the port you could visit. Once on the boat you can get back off as long as you're back on before 9 or something like that. In regards to the passport where are you from? I'm in Canada and my silly girlfriend applied for hers three weeks before and she paid like 20 extra and she had it in less than a week.

  4. Just did the reposition cruise aboard the freedom. I was not at all happy with the food also. I was the guy with the two plates of watermelon and pineapple. I think I ate the burgers and fries everyday because I just could not count on dinner being anything I wanted...... I figured it was just me because I am very picky.

  5. I would say its about the same, however if presentation is important go to dinning room. I was just on a cruise and I no longer can deal with the 2+ hour sittings for dinner. I went to the dining room two times out of the 12 nights. Anyway, girlfriend and I typically check the menu for the dinning room and then take a look at what's offered on Lido... we make our choice from there.

  6. We did this tour the second week of March. The equipment is terrible, very run down and unsafe. Something in the steering broke on our guide's ATV which caused him and his ATV to flip down the road. Fortunately, the guide wasn't seriously injured...just some road rash and a limp afterwards. He called another guy, and we waited for him, and then continued the trip to the beach. It really isn't a tour, its just a way to get to the beach and back. There are no stops for photos or anything like that along the way. The beach is really nice though. We did see other ATV's (from other tours) at the beach, and they were in much better shape than the ones we were on. I would suggest finding a different ATV company that has safer and nicer equipment.

looks like you got hit with Junior also... horrible horrible guide... thankfully they had him refund our money.

  7. First and foremost, the response from Island Marketing was great as they worked to get back most of the money I paid for the excursion back. They also suspended the operator until they could review, etc...... as said they were great. I had booked with them several times before on different islands and never had an issue.... now saying that, We took the ATV Tour through them and it was horrible. I am not one to complain even about mediocre, but it was awful... If they have more then one operator in the area it might be worth the risk, but if it is Juniors Tours I sure hope he offers a better tour then us... Imagine a tour on ATV's being held in gear by bungee cords, or being told that your breaks are not to good, running out of gas less then 1minute into the trip, and.... and, the damn tour guide not saying more then 50 words the entire tour. Ask them... is it with Junior and if they say yes avoid!!!

  8. I did, and it was not the best... I will update review if they do not refund the money as they promised. So far they have been great in responding to the issues I have... and I will say, I booked with them a total of 5 times and they first four times were great, but this last tour guide in St Maarteen was horrible... but as I said the company was quick to respond to my email and are in the process of having the operator refund what we spent.
