  1. Glad for you that this solution works. I haven't found that filtering the water makes it taste any better. If anything, the water is already so filtered that it tastes stale. Having done my bit for the environment in other ways, I enjoy bottled water guilt free when I'm someplace where I find the tap water undrinkable.

I can always ask the bar to add some whiskey in it LOL.

  2. This is the most amazing cost saving web site ever.

I think about booking a cruise. I read these forums. I imagine dining with 4 other couples and the topic of conversation can not go beyond soda smuggling, and how offended we are all because we could not carry on a pallet of Coke. Then I book a flight and hotels instead.

Cruising is becoming something akin to being locked inside Sam's Club for weeks with no possibility of parole.

    Classic, luv it!!

  3. NCL has 15 ships, which average 3,000 passengers per cruise or 1500 cabins and are selling cruises 35 weeks into the future. Therefore in order to notify everyone of the change it would require 787,500 emails (15 x 1,500 x 35) to notify everyone. I cannot see them doing that, as it would probably overload their email system.

Besides if everyone who is registered on Cruise Critic were against this new policy it would be less than 25,000 people complaining. Not very many when over 20 million people cruise each year.

You folks are just beating each other up. Have at it.

My similar thoughts...cc passengers are vocal but very small piece of this mega cruise line...people will forget....and other than us, most dont care.

  4. Can I wear shorts while filling up a water bottle directly? Possibly while smoking?

It is utterly illogical to think that NCL can specifically cater to the desires of every single picky passenger. That's ludicrous.

Rational people adjust. It sucks, and I think it's a stupid policy, but I have faith in the human race that people can adjust.

Agree, dumb policy but not going to stop my good time.

  5. I agree that the UBP is already high priced if not overpriced on this line. I usually sail Celebrity and aware of the BIG difference with the pkg. I just like my water and specialty coffee but they seem unrelenting with the gouging on bottled water. Just stating I would prob buy a pkg if offered but that is just me. I think our group is not happy about this and prob/already booking "X" for next year. I cant let this bog me down as heading out on Gem in 2 weeks and committed to a good time!!
