A three year old is likely to have a great time on any cruise ship.  Since you live in New York, you might like the idea of saving air fare and travel time and sail from a New York area port - Manhattan or Bayonne, NJ.  There are lots of NCL sailings from Manhattan.

Thank you very much and I'm sure your right but I'm sure some are more "kid friendly".

  2. Hello. Me and my wife have been on a few cruise. We are would to go on a cruise for my 50th next month and bring my 3yo daughter.

We live and NY and would be ok leaving from NY or FL. Which ships would be best suited (besides Disney...lol) for a 3yo? Thanks for any general feedback. Thanks.

You don't state where you are from, so offering alternative locations isn't as easy - but as stated, Zika is now a way life - and why you aren't hearing about it.  But as stated, there are more effects that initially thought so you do want to check the current CDC status.  Some Caribbean Islands are off the risk map but that can come and go.  Keep in mind the is the end of the rainy season which is going to mean a healthy mosquito population.  Even if you think to stay on board, mosquitos might find their way on board as well.

  4. So my we are going on vacation in 3 weeks( not planned yet...lol) and wife really wants to go on cruise somewhere around Caribbean but she's very nervous about Zika. She's trying to get pregnant. I guess this is still a concern? I haven't heard about it in a few years. Thanks

  5. Me and my wife are 38 and 43. We have been on many Caribbean cruises but are thinking about switching it up and doing the Mediterranean cruise(Barcelona, France, Italy). We have never been to Europe. Thinking bout going in July or September. Any feedback on this ship and the cruise or ports? Thank you very much!!!

  6. So delay was about 2-1/2 hours. Oh well not the end of the world. Cruise was very nice. Food and staff were great. Bermuda was very enjoyable and even with all the negatively we rented a moped. It was not dangerous at all. I can see how a timid person who has not ridden a moped/motorcycle could get into trouble. The moped afforded us the chance to go where we wanted when we wanted.

  7. It's fairly common for weather fronts to move thru the small island of Bermuda this time of the year - it's usually passing shower and/or rain for a brief period, then it's clouds & sun again. Pack a rain pouch but they are sold otherwise on the island. Find a place indoor or sheltered, it's over in 15 or 20 minutes once the weather system go thru & continue its spin into the north Atlantic.

Thanks will do. A little disappointed as Bermuda weather website says no rain for the next week except for the 3 days were there.

  10. You will board at about 11am. But arrival at 930am will mean a shorter line to getting your documents checked and receiving your sea pass. This will also ensure you have a smaller boarding number (which is good if you are attempting to get vibe passes). However you will have to wait until 11am when boarding actually begins.

  11. I have to agree with Moby0215, if you really wanted a Haven cabin perhaps you should have just bit the bullet and gotten it rather than be disappointed. I understand looking for a deal but if your heart of hearts wants something and you can shell out the dollars for it get what you want. We take a deep breathe and book Suite/Havens and the cabin we want so we don't have to have that disappointed feeling. However, the DH took his DB on a cruise after my DSIL passed away and was able to upgrade to a suite. Was he ever happy!

    You're right I should have

  12. Sailing on breakaway Sunday...I figured since the bidding was still available for the Haven spa suite it was still available to call an upgrade direct. They were available last night but are now sold out. They said you can always bid even if sold out because there may be a cancellation. I'm so damn disappointed!!! Guess I can bid hoping for cancellation which will never happen.

  13. Well I'm very close to pulling the trigger but to upgrade direct right now is an extra $1800 for both of us. If we bid It could be cheaper but then run the risk of not getting it. Oh what a decision I Ave to make...ugh!! I mean we can afford the $1800 bit that's a lot of dough....might try the bidding but think if I bid 650 pp it will cost us $1300 and still that's rated as a poor chance of winning bid. Another $500 and we are guaranteed room.

  14. I just check ncl.com. I book my cruise as if I were going to book it for the first time. Currently on my sailing there are 5 spa suites left. Last week there were 8. The price dropped last week, obviously low enough for some people.

Wow seems like a certain thing the 5 will get sold ....doesn't seem like a lot.

  15. You wouldn't have time. If you don't win, they have given it to someone else.

While it seems some people have heard early, you find out yay or nay 48hrs before sail away. I'm thinking they upgrade the Haven first, earlier in the week, as that begins the cascading effect of upgrading more and more lower category rooms. Then they final didn't get it emails go out 48hrs to.

So why couldn't I call up and purchase after I get the email saying I didn't win? There would still be approximately 48 hours left before sailing.

  16. I've been watching my spa suite for a month and no change to the minimum bid. The actual price on the website has decreased as well. So keep that in mind. I'm almost at the point where it makes more sense to add a few dollars and buy it outright for the guaranteed room. Just watch the prices!

Thanks. Guess if we don't win the bid we can buy direct but risk the chance of it not being available.
