  2. Good day Henry, Hope this finds you well…. I had to comment on your report…. I am currently overwhelmed with my packing since I am going on Prima with my girlfriends and then joining my family in Miami for another long cruise (Xmas and Ny’s) so I took time off to read your review….. cannot be more grateful and delighted THANK YOU … the attention to detail makes me feel like I am already on board…. You are doing an AMAZING job.

See ya at the Meet and Greet on the 3rd…. I look forward to doing this journey thru your wonderful written narrations.

    Stay blessed and enjoy.

  4. Good day….Hope everyone out there is safe from the storm.

I am hoping to get a copy of the Prima dailies to get a feel… I am travelling with few girls who have never cruise and would like to offer them some ideas of what Prima days might look like since we are doing 15 days in December repositioning.

    Thanks in advance

  5. Never occurred to me to look at that graph…. Still confusing… on Escape we had a Spa Suite but it was only 7 days…I guess is worth the upgrade only for the dining … the spa suites now are way too expensive for my bucket this time around.

     Thanks for the replies.

    Have a great cruise!

You’re also on the first cruise under the new COVID protocols.

Please forgive my ignorance…. What are the new Covid protocols?

We just flew back to Canada from our Xmas holidays thru Miami… are they the same as flying ?

    Thanks

  8. It’s been two years since we cruised on the Escape…. We have been slowly moving towards bigger ships … but this time … for a quick girls trip we are headed to the Sky next week.

i researched and read many reviews but many were older.

Hoping that anybody that has been on  her after Covid can shed a light on recent dailies or the overall of the ship … never taken a short cruise before … don’t know what to expect … my daughter always enjoyed the themed nights and I looked forward to see her enjoy… she is Autistic with a fascination for music and dance.

Thanks in advance for any comments

What's the price difference between sail away and a room that includes the package? If you're not a "heavy" drinker, you can just pay for 2-3 drinks a day. $20-30/day

Thanks for all the replies …. Price difference between rooms is 524.00 out of that 225 is drink package gratuity and the rest is specialty dinning …. Clearly not worth on a 5 day cruise with 2 ports in which I would  need to buy drinks during excursions.

  10. Thanks for your replies ….. How can I go about this … the sail away deal doesn’t offer the drink package ….

should I change rooms? Should I buy drinks without a package?

Does NCL offers wine bottles package still? What about the corking fee? I brought my own before.

i am not a heavy drinker and my child doesn’t really like pop or juices if they are not nectars ( Autism)

    Thanks

  11. Hello … hope everyone is keeping safe,

if a book a sail away room does not come with drink package or specialty dinning.

wod I be able to buy a drink package for me and kids drink package for my daughter once on board?

    Thanks

    Aj

  12. Sooo out of touch … can’t remember… we had the dinning and drink package on Escape back in 2019.

Now booked on Pearl and when. I go on my reservation… every venue for dinning has a value to be paid or a l’ cart…. Also the ultimate beverage has a price ….

Do I still have to pay for it when my reservation was including drinks package… dinning and excursions?

     Thanks

  13. Thanks for the replies … so a catamaran excursion is 90 bucks … I get 50 off and the rest of my group pays full price? But if the excursion is less then 50…. I get it for free and the rest of my group still pays full price ?

     Thanks

People seem to be shocked that Italy has been hit hard. My eyes were open in November when one third of  our ship's passengers were from China. The cruise began and ended in Rome.

I later learned Italy is the top destination for the Chinese. It is so unfortunate that many panic just seeing an Asian person, but that is human nature when the world is close to a world wide pandemic. Chinese make up one third of high end buyers and travel so understanding the importance of the Chinese is essential as we make travel and financial decisions.

Not only is a tourist destination top

preference .... but sooo many Chinese investors have purchase restaurants in Rome ..... we went out one night to a place which used to be Nona’s secret.... to our suprise....few establishments had Chinese servers speaking fluent Italian.

The same applies to the Dominican.... just days before the first case in the island was reported I made a comment at home that the CV was going to arrive in the DR from Italy .... the southern part of the island is filled with Italian expats.

  15. Thank you for the kind responses..... we are not heavy drinkers.. don’t think the drink package is worth for us.

We are bringing two bottles of low alcohol Moscato and was hoping to get a wine package for 3-4 bottles for dinner.

    Thanks again.

  16. Hello to all,

About 10 years ago I sailed with Royal.... on embarkation day I purchased a wine package of 10 bottles for a set amount.

Is that discontinued from the current offerings by Royal? Is it only drink packages available?

    Thanks

  17. Thank you for the kind replies ..... if anything I didn’t want to “cut in line “ at the AoTS.... we have been in many cruises from the Caribbean to Rusia and Alaska...with NCL and other lines.... not a complaint with any.... always felt welcome and passengers show empathy and kindness.

As I said before .... just wanted to get a feel of the Royal take on different abilities while AoTS was providing services.

Winscosinfan.... Thanks for the link.... already filled the form for SN as we are in an Accessible balcony.

It is important for me to respect the procedures of others specially with different abilities.

    Thanks again

  18. Good afternoon,

My apologies if my question was not clear.... it is my second cruise with Royal.... my daughter 16 is on the spectrum and I didn’t know this was an Autism able cruise until after we booked .... We booked for the NY eve reason which is also the reason we booked the Legend over 10 years ago..... my child loved it!

I was simply trying to get a feed back from other cruisers who sailed while AoTS was providing services because we are booked directly with Royal and in my experience with NCL .... we were able to get basically all the services listed by AoTS .... my child attended the kids club... we had seats reserved at the shows .... had personal embarkation without the lines and separate drill, I received an email which I needed to print to bring to the port for that personal embarkation.

Its  been over 10 years I sailed with Royal..... don’t know how their services are.... just wondering if I had to be booked with AoTS to receive what I did with NCL.

    Thanks

    Aj

PS: Don’t know what happened with the signature .... I used to have an image with a boat with the Autism puzzle colours 😞

  19. Good day....

We are booked on the Navigator of the Seas for New Year’s Eve period....

I tried posting on the RC but there is not too much activity..... this is an Autism of the Seas sail....I noticed on the AoTS page that Royal Caribbean hosts several of their cruise assisted sails.

Just wondering if anybody can share a similar experience.

    Thanks
