I apologize if this has been asked before. My wife and I have been sailing on Carnival for quite a while and now as we are getting older we find we are less tolerant of the kids running amok. I was wondering if there what the kid level is like on HAL?

I'm glad you asked this! We will be on the same cruise. See you in Fl!

Anyone out there have any tips, tricks, or advice regarding Princess Cruise Lines, Panama Canal Full-Transit? My wife and I are booked for November 7, 2015 departure aboard the Coral Princess. Were not new to cruising but simple idea can make a trip so much more enjoyable. -
For me it would be a lamb dip from Phillipes.
I agree but it never seems like I can get any farther then a table to scarf it down!

My wife and I were on the Miracle for two cruises. The Hawaii and then the Mexican Riviera. The boat was great!! Best laid out design of any boat we have been on. Very easy to get around. But a bit of a warning! They make really good pizza on the lido deck!! Our cabin was right behind the aft elevator and all I had to do was jump on the elevator and go up two floors and the pizza was right there!!! Bad news!! Next thing I know two pizzas and two beers went back down to the room! If you go to YTD tell Robert (Best waiter!!) Dave And Edie said hi!

Well just thought I would give a short review of our (wife and me!) Back to Back cruises on the Miracle! First cruise was a 15day leaving 10/19/13 to Hawaii and the second was a 7day leaving 11/3/14 to the Mexican Riviera.
We headed for Long Beach,CA from Topeka,KS. We decided to take Amtrak out to CA and we had a nice time on the train seeing the scenery on the way. After arriving in Los Angeles we walked down the street to Phillipe's Restaurant for the best French dip sandwich! Then a quick stop on Olvera St for some Churros before heading back to the station to meet the bus to Long Beach.
We stayed at the Maya Hotel the night before the cruise. Nice hotel but the restaurant is very pricey!!! They have free shuttle to the port.
At the port it was chaos!! The Miracle had gotten in late so everyone was waiting to board. We didn't leave port till close to 8! Oh well.
The Miracle is a great ship!!! Very well planned so it is very easy to get around. We were in cabin 7301 right behind the aft elevators on the starboard side. Very quiet as far as the elevators are concerned. It proved to be handy as we could just go out the door jump on the elevator and go to the Lido deck get a couple of pizza's and go home!
We had Anytime Dining and our Headwaiter was a fellow named Robert who was great!! (Found him the 3rd time we went to the dining room and after that we always stayed in his area) We ate on Lido a few times after the shows too.
We had great neighbors on the Hawaii cruise!! Thanks Forest and Carrie!! I hope you kids had a safe trip home!!
The sailing to Hawaii was quite smooth. Not much in the way of rough waters. Hawaii was beautiful!
We had a lot of fun in the ports especially in Hilo our last stop in Hawaii. We went on a private tour with Ken from Ken and Mary's Tours. Great!!!!
When we got to Ensenada we just rode the little shuttle bus and went to a restaurant called Mahi Mahi. Great seafood!!
Then it was back to Long Beach! I was rather surprised at how badly we were treated by Carnival for our back to back! We were escorted off to go through Customs and then to get our new Sign/Sail cards and then just dumped out to wait for then to open the gates for everyone else to come on! Very disappointed as we had read quite a few reviews of getting to come back on board and get to relax while they get the new passengers loaded.
Oh well!
Then we get the Mex passengers! What a difference! A lot more kids and very little courtesy! Our new neighbors had a real thing for dragging the furniture around on the decks for some reason. Every time we would be out enjoying the deck there was sort of a constant door slamming and then the furniture had to be dragged around for awhile. Above, below and on both sides! Also so many of them with the porch light on!!
Oh well!
We still had fun on the cruise anyway. We just made fun of the "Furniture Movers". Enjoyed the Mexico stops a lot! In Cabo San Lucas we mostly enjoyed an excursion called "Salsa And Salsa" great fun!
Then it was time to go back to Long Beach and head home.
I know this is not the best review so if anyone has questions I will do the best I can.....

On the Princess Saphire on cruise to Alaska unfortunately not much was good...Very unlike Princess! But the worst thing was on the buffet they had deviled eggs. Oh they were bad!! It was really a shame as they were very pretty! The texture was just like the way I picture biting into a hunk of silicone tub caulk!

I used to use the Badger qute often to go across Lake Michigan with my truck. It was cheaper to use it then to go down around through Chicago. They even gave my wife and I a free night on the Ship because they had to load my truck early.
