I have a group of 6 traveling from the Royal Caribbean cruise port terminal to the Holiday Inn Miami Beach to spend the day and then will be catching our flight out after 9pm from Miami Airport. We are looking forward to spending the day on the beach and just hanging out, but I am trying to figure out what is the best and cheapest most stress free way to get from point A (Port Everglades) to point B (Miami Beach) to point C (Miami airport). I have read a lot of threads here going different directions and made quite a few phone calls but feel more confused now than when I started.

#1 - Any advice on best most reliable services welcome

#2 - If you have a better suggestion with a hotel between point A and C that would offer a day of relaxation by a pool or on a beach I still have time to cancel my reservation. (I don't' want to spend >300$ for a day at a beach or by a pool)

I used Holland twice a few years ago and have recently booked him to bring me from Fort Lauderdale Airport to our hotel in Miami. I have a reservation # but I needed to call him with my Credit Card # to hold the reservation.

 

I have called and left voicemails and emailed him several times since (this started back in November) and have not received any response. I'm concerned now that when the time comes I won't have a car because he doesn't have my CC info. I know I have a few months still but has anyone used Holland Limo recently? I'm curious if he's still in business. :confused:

Just called the number and their website and spoke directly with a person and was given a quote ?

We have 6 people, so looks like we will most likely get a rental car/cars. Although I was wanting to just take a taxi or shuttle. Would love to stay under 300$ for the room - I was thinking Hollywood would be the wrong direction for us since we fly out of Miami? It doesn't have to be anything special as we will not be sleeping there, just dropping our bags and heading out to the beach for the day.

:confused: Just realized I was a little directionally challenged ! Hollywood would be right in the middle of where I need to go.

Looking for a great hotel on the beach to spend the day. Our cruise docks in Fort Lauderdale and we depart out of Miami airport at 9pm and we are looking for a place to drop our bags and just hang out. Prefer to be closer to Miami, but anyplace in between the 2 would be great. Group of 6 that mostly wants to just enjoy relaxing on the beach for the day and interested in Miami/South Beach area. Any advice would be welcome -

We are sailing to and from Fort Lauderdale. We are currently on a flight that does not leave Miami until midnight on Sunday and we are wanting to get out sooner, however you confirmed my thoughts that it would be just to close for comfort! It might be cheaper (and more relaxing) to just book a hotel on the beach and hang out and relax until it is time to go to the airport.

Was wondering if anyone could tell me the earliest time you could expect to be off the ship (using the self depart/take your own luggage route). It says the ship docks at 530am - was wondering when they actually start allowing you to disembark ? We have a flight booked out of Miami at 955 and I am concerned we may be cutting it way to close.
