I feel sorry for them also.
Technically, people do cancel at the last minute. I don't know how far down they are on the waitlist. I am guessing there are people from the coast of North Carolina and South Carolina who maybe cancelling.
I wonder if they would get the cruise at the same price that they originally paid

Thank you for sharing the excursion code. This looks like at great excursion.
We did this excursion. It was a long day and hot in Jan 2019. I very much enjoyed it. We were about an hour late getting back to the boat. This smaller boats are at the mercy of the larger boats going thru the many locks.

We have done two tours with Dora and have been very happy both times the last one in Jan of 2019, First time there was 4 us the second 8. We requested a private tour each time.

We book on Silhouette two adjoining cabins with 2 people in each one. We had the room for 3 or 4 people. We decided to book the cruise before us for a b2b and our room for 3 or 4 was available so we stayed in the same room for 19 days. I heard we could possibly be bumped but we were not.

We were on this ship for 19 days in Jan. Loved most everything. We ate our meals in the buffet as we dont like 2 hr meals. The staff was great! We were so impressed book another cruise on celebrity

We got off last Friday from a b2b on Silhouette, 19 days and at in the buffet overnight except 1 we at the porch. Did eat lunch in the main dining room and the turn around day. We are not fancy people and do not need tablecloths and a long dinner hour. We were so happy with our first time ever on Celebrity. The grill cooks in the buffet were wonderful making our steaks and fish to order every night. The manager of the oceanview was a delight to talk with nightly. The head chef of all the restaurants talked with us several times and treated us to a dinner at the Porch. We can see why the Silhouette and staff were voted #1 for 2017. We have booked another for Jan 2019 on the Reflection. I'm sorry you had bad luck in the main dining room you should have joined us in the oceanview.

I wouldn't use the word special, but we got :-
Cruise fare discount from Celebrity
A B2B lunch (Don't get too excited)
Free laundry (Though we already qualified for this under the loyalty program)
After booking a B2B.
We are booked on a b2b leave this Sunday. A 7 day then 12 day. We have a balcony room and are first timers on Celebrity. Do you think we get free laundry.

We are booked for a 9 night and a 12 night b2b. Celebrity gives $50 total for the cabin for 7 - 9 day cruise and $100 for 10 days and over when booked as b2b. Therefore we received $150 off of our 2 cruises ($50 off the price of the 9 day cruise and $100 off the price of the 12 day cruise).
You do need to ask for it.
We have a TA and did not know we would receive anything. She emailed and we received the same that you did. $50.00 per cabin on our 7 day and $100.00 per cabin on our 12 day. And yea we leave for Florida this Friday and get out of this minus zero weather.

i booked 3 on our Caribbean cruise in Jan 2018 and they were all 20%. the ones 20% off were labeled so. I believe it said something like select locations and excursions. There were many that were not on sale.
-
this is only our 3rd cruise, first on Celebrity. Personally if I got to the door of any dining room and they told us we were not dressed appropriately to suit there rules. I would kindly turn out and leave and go eat in the buffet. We are not ones to make a fuss and don't care to for the dress up nights and have a 2 hour dinner. Not worth the fuss trying to figure out what to wear.
-
We booked 2 adjoining rooms, 2 in each room. The room we choose is for 4 and we had no problem booking.

I wonder how this works if you book one leg and then later add another. Do you tell the booking agent for the second leg that, as it is a B2B, X should give a discount? Or does the discount only apply if you booked both cruises at the same time?

We booked a 12 day on sillouette and weeks later book a 7 day before it. We received 50 credit on the 7 day and 100 for the 12 day. I did not ask the TA just informed when sending my bookings

I have what might be a silly question.
If the $300 per cabin OBC (as part of the promo) can be used for gratuities, why would anyone on a week-long cruise (other than suite passengers) choose the pre-paid gratuities instead of the $300 per cabin OBC?
You are clearly getting a much better deal since after gratuities, there will be $111 left ($300 minus $189).
This is only our second Celebrity Cruise, and the first with anything other than just a free beverage package. It just didn't make sense to me, so I wanted to make sure there was no "catch" to the $300 OBC.
Thanks!
In Jan will be our first time with Celebrity, we are doing a b2b. First 7 days then 12 days. On the 7 days I took the $300.00 obc on the 12 day the gratuity pkg. I think you need to do your math before hand and see which profits you more.

On a January cruise as well and will take the information as it comes. If we go to the islands on our original itinerary, great. If we are changed to different islands, fine. We hit 7 islands during our trip so I'm really not concerned even though 3 of them are out of commission at the moment (San Juan, Dominica, St. Maarten). Not sure why people are getting so worried and upset. If you look at the revised itineraries that have been coming out it's not like they are removing islands and replacing them with days at sea, they are replacing with other islands. And no offense to any of these islands but they are all pretty much interchangeable (beaches, cat sailings, zip-lining, snorkeling, etc.) with some variances in landscape scenery.

We are on the Silouette for b2b leaving Jan 7th and the 14th. The 14th having 7 ports. I dont care what Islands I go to just prefer not to have additional sea days.

People can be concerned about their cruise vacation AND be helping in multiple ways, you have no way of knowing. And this is a cruise forum. What else is more relevant than a question about possible itinerary changes?
You are so right, and everyone going on a cruise may not be in the physicle condition to put on a pair gloves and help out. People need to stop being self righteous and judging others who have concerns about their upcoming cruises. I for one do not care what Islands I go to but do not care for added sea days. Even if people have not donated or helped in some way that is up to them.
