I go for the cruise experience, ports are just a plus. I’d suggest that if you really want to explore, fly and stay for an extended vacation. Both have plus sides. Cruise ships can never control the winds and seas. Looks like Vision headed Bach to New Orleans tonight, tomorrow will be rockin and rolling....sea life!

It was my first cruise as a High School graduation present...:+)

Wondering why I would ever buy another "open booking" certificate. My last experience really back fired. Did the transfer to my travel agent that had lots of extras for that particular cruise, only to be told that with the coupon, I did not qualify. I am still pretty upset, wrote my TA, got a call last night and still not certain that I will get anything. Think that is the last "open booking" this guy will buy...what a hassle. Anyone else in this situation?

We were on the May 17 sailing and we had winds the first 3 days up to 49 knots.Never been sea sick until this cruise. Queazy even on my birthday :( Last May on the Oasis we never felt any movement.

The pubs on certain ships do have draft beers.

We are cruising on the oasis for the first time in May. I am trying to research ideas for Falmouth Jamaica, it seems as if most people stay on the ship. Is this accurate? What excursions have you tried and would recommend, if any?

 

I am also curious to know about the dragons breath coaster and zipline in labadee. Any suggestions? We are a family of 4; mom, dad and 2 sons ages 17 and 20. Thank you in advance for any advice you have to lend.

Been to Falmouth a couple of times. The 4x4 safari tour was wonderful. It took us up into the mountains, stopped to show us fruit, nuts, exotic spices. It was really cool, even saw a mongoose. The other time, we did the walking tour. It got us away from the port craziness and saw some interesting buildings. People were exceptionally nice, not the pushy tourist types. I first thought that the town had nothing but now consider that false. It's all what you want to discover.
