  1. I've used several different lots in the area, and had some bad service. But for last two cruises I've used Global (2nd Ave parking garage). would definitely used them again. Close to the port, downtown area, top floor of gated structure. Downside is the vans are a bit beat-up, but your only on them for a few minutes. And of course on the return trip from ship could be a bit slower, but overall I was satisfied both times.

Just wondering for the 2nd Ave parking garage, do you need/have to reserve in advance or can you just drive up?

  2. Headed to the Bahamas this weekend for a mother/daughter trip. Looking for budget ideas of what to do while we are in port. We are in Cococay and Nassau 8-5 Saturday and Sunday.

What kinds of things can we do for free/cheap while we are there? Also considering heading back to the ship while we are in Nassau for lunch.

I'm expecting that the water will be chilly so I may not want to swim but I'm sure my daughter would enjoy doing that while we are in Cococay at least.

    Help!?

  3. To the person who said the pools use sea water. I seriously doubt that. Some pools are saltly because that is how they balance the chemicals. Many pools use chlorine as a chemical but it can smell bad. To avoid this but keep pools clean and sanitary some pools use salt. The chemical symbol for chlorine is CL, for salt it's NaCL. So, what happens is there is a kind of transmitter in the pool that changes the NaCL into CL and Na seperately. So you have the CL doing it's job without smelling and the salt is left over giving the pool a slightly salty flavor. But I try not to drink the pool water!
