Just checked the Carnival Corporation website, it looks like they have extended the shareholder credit to the end of 2024.

One thing to remember, if you previously had a Brazil visa (we had previously visited Brazil with Seabourn), they are good for ten years even if it is contained in an expired passport.  Just carry both passports with you on your trip.  We checked our old passports and we have a Brazil visas that were processed in 2017 and are good till 2027.

I believe that cabins 848/851, which are next to the Wintergarden suites, are the suites with 246 square feet.  These can be attached to the Wintergarden suite to create the Grand Wintergarden suite.  I like to think of these as the "nanny suite".  Just look at the pdf's of the Ovation deck plans available on the Seabourn website. 

Does anyone know if the jewelry boutique on board will discount their items before Buenos Aires? Do they ever discount items? Thanks

Do the curtains that halfway down the mini-suites (Room Type MC, ME, MB) shown in the Princess website close fully to divide the room living area from the bed?  Are they blackout curtains? Thanks for response

Never took any Seabourn tours on this island, but have walked around on our own.  Euros are the preferred currency, especially for the taxi drivers, who will give you a really poor exchange rate for dollars when they quote the fare in euros or dollars.

Seabourn has regraded all their veranda suites, now categories V1 to V4, no longer any V5 or V6.  Hopes this helps you make a decision.

I am using an Samsung (Android) phone with no problem.  However, I downloaded the wine list and am attaching it.  Happy reading (and planning).

The Gold and Silver wine packages have been replaced by the Wine Collector packages shown in post #6.  The reserve wine list can be found on the Seabourn Source app, look under "Gourmet Dining", then choose the "View More" logo, scroll down to find "Wine" and tap the "Reserve Wine Selection" to download the wine list.  Hope this helps.

By the way, RUCRAZY, the wine list shows 2009 Cristal at $315 per bottle.

Of course, who knows if all the ships have all the wines listed.  You can also get wines off of the Keller Grill wine list (I don't have a link for that one).

I've hauled multiple bottles of wine aboard with no questions asked and no corkage charges.  I have even shared some tastes of the wines with the sommeliers as they had not previously had the wines I brought onboard.  Some of the sommeliers seem very interested to see what the guests bring aboard.  Enjoy your Cristal.

Having done the Qaqortoq to Hvalsey Zodiac trip, I would recommend wearing waterproof outer garments such as rain coat (with hood), rain pants and waterproof shoes (possibly over the ankle hiking boots).  At speed, the Zodiac will tend to splash water over the side and into the Zodiac itself, and onto your hips/legs/feet.  The trip to Hvalsey is about 30 minutes and it can be a long, cold trip if you are wet.  A watch cap is also recommended to keep your head warm, even with the rain hood up as a windbreaker.  The temperature highs might be in the mid 50's (or 12-14 C).  It can be a long, cold ride.  When I was there on the Quest in 2016,  Seabourn had to schedule three different tours (several Zodiacs each tour) to accommodate all the passengers that wanted to see Hvalsey.  If I remember correctly, there were about 8 - 10 people per Zodiac and Seabourn even stationed one of the speakers there at the site that day to give some commentary and answer questions.

All things considered, I would wear waterproof clothing for any Zodiac trip in cool or cold climates.

I would also second Fletcher's recommendation to take this tour.  When do think you will return?

Just returned from Odyssey Barbados 7 day cruise, and they did give us the beach bag. It was great to take stuff to the pool etc. It was a lovely cruise.should have stayed onboard longer.

When I look at Worldometers, I see that Florida ranks #27 in cases per million and #25 in deaths per million.  Also remember that Texas and Florida are the number 2 and 3 states for population in the USA, so having a higher absolute number of cases/deaths is expected, due to having higher populations.

Try sorting the data on the million cases/population tab of Worldometers.

By the way, lets not forget that California is Number 1 in total deaths and total cases (if we want to pick on a specific state, and that is not even counting the issue of New York and their reporting ills).

Mr. L, where are you getting your data?  When I look at the US CDC website,  Florida's data is by no means the worst (for either death or cases) among the US states when comparing rates per 100,000.

In response to the difference in square footage, for the Odyssey/Sojourn/Quest, rooms 745/746 have the smaller footprint.  These suites can be combined with Wintergarden suites to form the Grand Wintergarden suites.
For the Encore/Ovation, the equivalent rooms are 848/851.  
We have stayed in one of these rooms on the Odyssey class ships.  The square footage difference is noticible, but not really bothersome as we did not spend a lot of time in the room.  The small balcony is a real issue, there is really only enough space for one person on the balcony (and I can't remember if there was a chair or not).  However, we only booked a balcony guarantee for that trip, and were assigned that cabin, which we found to be very convenient to the Seabourn Square, especially for the all important morning coffee.
We tend to think of that suite as the "nanny suite", as it connects to the Wintergarden suite via a connecting door.  (To be honest, the last time we saw a nanny or any very young children on board was around 2004.)
You can explore the deck plans and see that the rest of the suites are about the 300 square foot size.

(2) The cruise ship operator must not sail or offer to sail on an itinerary longer than 7 days. CDC may shorten or lengthen the number of days permitted to sail based on public health considerations and as set forth in technical instructions or orders.

Seabourn (or any other cruise ship operator) does not have a choice in the matter until the CDC changes their Conditional Sail Order.

In one person’s view from across the pond, what did you expect? On the first day of the new regulation enforcement, Google and Facebook were cited for over 8 Billion USD in lawsuits under GDPR. Seabourn (and by extension, Carnival) are only protecting their assets. By referring these questions back to the EU offices, they can hopefully avoid GDPR lawsuits, which in the long run would only result in higher fares.
