Tonight or tomorrow night is when I’m going to figure out how to go from the 30 inch monstrosity I call a suitcase and the 19 inch pack that makes it look like my back is expecting twins to my new air travel friendly 21 inch suitcase and 13 inch backpack.

I’m also going to try attempt to stay within the weight limit that will allow me to avoid incurring additional charges. I think that’s 40lbs.

I have no idea how many lbs I’ve been rolling on these cruises. As long as the porter can get it on the cart, I feel like I’ve met the the weight limit. I just make the the tip commensurate with how loud he grunts when he lifts the beast.

If anyone has any packing tips you think will help, feel free to add them here. I think the main one is going to be to bring less stuff.

We flew the same airline a couple weeks back, and it was difficult at first only 40lbs. So I rolled all my clothes in my backpack, a few outfits in my checked luggage. If I really cut down a few things I think I could got away with all my things in my backpack.

  2. I made a little video of our entire 10 day vacation in Aruba. I've never really done this before and tried to remember to take some video during the vacation. So, this is a first for me and I think I need some practice. The music is sometimes a little off...but then again so is my quirky sense of humor at times.

It's about 32 minutes of pictures and video combined as a day-by-day event for us. Hopefully you have 32 minutes to spare (after all, my reviews are more like 100 pages and you guys survive those right? ;p).

Thanks in advance and I hope you enjoy my first try.

    Thank you for sharing ;)

  3. We just returned from 10 days in Aruba with no problems at all...even with mosquito's. We always take the spray, in case we need it, but didn't have to use it once (and we spent every night outside either on the patio, the pool, shopping, out dining, horse & carriage rides and so on). :)

Are you going to share with us your land vacation?

  4. Hello all! My husband and I are first time cruisers. We leave on the Magic in about 25 days. We've booked excursions in Roatan and Cozumel, but decided to leave the port in the middle (Belize) open to do "whatever".

Now, my questions is.....what "whatevers" are there to do? I was thinking it would be nice to do a little shopping and just hang out. We are hoping to maybe hear some music or something.

Any suggestions? What if we decided we wanted to swim. Is there a good beach that we can go to if we are not booked on an excursion? I really am a newbie at this and want to have the time of our lives.

    Thanks!!
