  1. Thank you all ,we are currently sitting in the garden in sunny Liverpool
  2. Hello ,we have booked a South American cruise next November on the Equinox .There are two bookings and one has been told to book starboard for the views of the coast line and the sun .Yet we were told by our TA to book port side to have a sunny balcony . Its not usually something we take into consideration but as we are going transatlantic and there are a lot if sea days we would like the sun on the balcony . I know there are lots of well informed cruisers on here and would appreciate your advice . thank you in advance
  3. Update upon boarding we asked for the package and we were told it’s £44-95 pppd prior to boarding and £55-95 pppd so another £220 for two .
  4. Checked in have boarding time 1-50 ,but unfortunately we couldn’t add the drinks package tried our TA ,Ambassador and online but apparently you have to do it 7 days prior .They also said it will be dearer to add onboard .Other lines don’t usually charge you more for adding onboard .
  5. Hi we are boarding Ambition on Sunday but as yet haven’t had any info on our boarding time . Will we get it once we have completed the heath questioner on Thursday . thanks
  6. Thank you ,we’re still trying to make our mind up about AI we do like a drink but not sure we would drink £44-95 pppd = £988 when you see it in black and white seems excessive .
  7. Hi we are on the Ambition shortly and wondered Do all cabins have a fridge ,can you take a bottle of spirit for your room(don’t worry we will spend plenty in the bars ) Can you decide to book the all inclusive after a few days if not sure ? Is there any yoga or keep-fit classes onboard . We usually travel with Azamara and Celebrity but the thought of being able to travel from Liverpool swung it for us . thanks in advance of any kind replies .
  8. Sorry I just remembered the initial media coverage of the new cruise terminal said it was so two ships could berth at the same time .
  9. I believe the Initial costing is for the new landing stage alone the new owners have put out to tender (no pun intended)for new hotels and other infrastructure required.
  10. I never mentioned Cunard moving it’s main operation’s from Southampton .Just some variety for the northern customers. As someone said Manchester is an international airport and you could be at the port inLiverpool within45minutes. Im sure some Americans would love to be able to take excursions to the Lakes.Chester ,Snowdonia in around an hour not to mention our abundance of championship golf courses in close proximity .
  11. well thanks but one can live in hope .
  12. Global Ports Holding The world's largest independent cruise port operator is set to take over Liverpool's cruise liner terminal. Global Ports Holding (GPH) has signed a 50 year agreement with Peel Ports Group, which will see up to £25m investment, including the construction of a new terminal building.3 Apr 2024 https://www.bbc.co.uk › news › u... Liverpool's £25m cruise port plan will see 'passengers double' - BBC News
  13. The new terminal is going to be able to take ships around the 3k passenger limit .Surely the new owners will make arrangements accordingly .
