Don’t get me wrong, we had a great time. We always do. You just have to have an open mind and you’ll be fine. Just keep expectations low.

The thing is we should get what we pay for. I understand the cutbacks and raising prices, but I paid for my cruise with hard earned money that I have worked for and expect what is advertised. If they are going to lower their standards then they need to let us know and I will spend our money elsewhere. I am a nurse and have shortages through out our hospital. but by no means can we skimp on service and quality of our care to our patients. I love celebrity, but as a consumer I want what I paid for when I booked this cruise.  Don't advertise as a Premium Cruise Line when you're not. Going in a week and half and booked over a year ago, just really bummed hearing all this.

  2. We are just off the 3-day cruise on the Sky. We did not read the fine print either. Was a little upset at first, but it was our fault for not checking into this before leaving. That said it was a wonderful cruise, food was good in the dining rooms. We did not miss our platinum status at all. :D:D:D

  3. We will be on the June 10th cruise with you. My husband, me and daughter and 2 grandsons. We are having a hard time knowing what to pack. I know my grandsons will be in the pool not matter what the temperature. Cannot wait! We have not heard anything yet on upgrades yet.

  4. Never did I or that I can see, did any one say it was hurting NCL in the stock market. It was a simple observation and a question if the promos were doing more harm than good. Just wanted to get opinions on this. Thanks for all your input. I like how all of us see the the question in different ways and different perspectives.

  5. I agree, I'm not sure if the promo is done, after so many people have booked it. I know on a big ship like the "Escape" is it possible for every single person to have a SDP? I know it is a marketing tool, I know I would cruise with NCL regardless, I just hate the bad reviews , knowing that it could be prevented or a least some of it could

  6. I'm going to start saying by saying " I love NCL" We have are getting ready to take our 8th cruise in a couple of weeks on the Escape. I believe the new customers they are getting from their "pick 3 or pick 2 incentives are in the long run hurting them. There are a number of complaints of not getting reservations with espically the "free dining and "free wifi". I know to go in a pre-reserve dining on line before the cruise, I know that their wifi is awlful. I would never pick a "free wifi. You offer something that does'nt really work. If I was a brand new customer that didn't know that you may not get to eat at 9:30 or 10pm, or your may not get in at all if you wait and book once you get on the ship. The wifi is horrible no matter what. I would be not be a happy customer either. I research everything, If I was new to NCL and looked at all these bad reviews, not sure I would book with them. I know everybody has a different perspective at what is important to them in a cruise, and NCL is the best cruise line for us. I just wondering after reading day after day the complaints is it really worth the free packges incentives.

  7. We were on the 11-day Southern Caribbean that got back on Jan 12th. We loved every part of our cruise. We were in a mini suite and it was everything that is hyped up to be. There was a tire that was stuck in the thruster that they had divers trying to get out. We had a couple of hours of extended time at the ports. I think they got part of it out.
