  1. I see Oceania offers a transfer from the airport to Le Havre for the cruise we are considering.  Has anyone used it?  I’m curious how it works.  Is this a bus from CDG at a set time that you need to wait for or make sure your flights fits?  What other options have you used to get to Le Havre?  I usually never want to arrive on the day the cruise leaves in case of flight issues.

Wife and I parked there for our 12/21 cruise on Riviera. When she pulled out for the cruise we could see the garage was full. There were cars double parked on the top exposed deck. I think there are 3 covered garage floors. We got there early and parked on the first floor. So when we disembarked we just jumped in and drove back 1250 miles to Iowa. It was worth it for us for security and knowing how easy it was to get our stuff to the ship. But for our upcoming 11/22 Sirena cruise, we're flying to Miami. 🙂

This is concerning.  We’ve parked in that lot with no trouble but now I don’t know where to go if it is full for our Jan. 4 cruise.   And I certainly don’t want to risk a double park.  Do they valet at that dock?  Could those be the ones double parked? Anybody else have a issue with parking in J?

  3. If you have the opportunity see the Normandy landing beaches and have not, it is an unforgettable experience.
if you have already been to Bilbao, an excursion into Basque Country is really beautiful.  La Coruna is a very pretty and authentic feeling town.

  4. I am looking at Baltic cruises for 2023 and frankly amazed that cruises are showing a return to St Petersburg.  I would personally not even consider  going there.  Any thoughts or suggestions for cruising to the Baltics but not that port?

  5. Just FYI, we flew out of Barcelona on April 3.  We had docked on the 2nd and spent a night because we’d been told we’d never make our 10:50 flight. There were  many cabs at the dock with no wait to take us to our hotel.   We arrived at the airport the next day before 7:30, breezed through check in and security, and were  on the concourse by 8:30, hours early.  Of course this extra day meant we had to get a Covid test in Barcelona and that was easy and efficient too.  Cost €45 each.  But we’d spent time in Barcelona before and I surely wish we’d left on the 2nd.

  6. Has anyone ever used My Day Trips for round trip transportation from the port to an inland town?  I was looking at traveling from Malaga to Ronda for the day to explore on our own there.  Reviews are good but would love to hear about their reliability. Thanks.

  7. Thanks for that info.  The clinic mentioned in this post is a 10 minute walk from our hotel.  Sounds like I've found my solution but of course things are always subject to change.  I am counting on making this vacation work after having canceled multiple versions of this trip.

  8. Thanks for your honest advice.  I am currently booked on a 10:50 for the next day, but was considering moving that up a day despite a tighter connection so that I could get the Covid test on the ship within the one day window to fly instead of having to find one in Barcelona.  I must decide which risk to take.

  9. Thank you!  The itinerary does say Seville.  I was afraid it meant you can get to Seville from the dock in Cadiz.  We have two overnights.

  10. Any reviews?  We like the size of this room over the veranda rooms but it appears to have only one comfortable chair for reading and relaxing.  The other chair looks very hard and uncomfortable.  Also does that set up work well for room service dining?

  11. We are looking at the Spain Intensive voyage from Barcelona to Lisbon.  It is a great itinerary but is listed as a golf voyage and we will not be golfing.  Will there be plenty of other non-golfers on board or will all conversation and activity revolve around golf?

  12. We are booked on a Baltic cruise on Marina next summer and I need definition about the O Life options.  What exactly do you get for “free excursions”?  I don’t think we would drink enough beer or wine for the basic beverage package and the $600 shipboard credit is just equal to the $600 extra you pay 90 days out for the cruise so that’s a wash.  Is it certain excursions or a certain dollar value?  Thanks.

  13. I want to book a cruise which ends in Bridgetown but the air connections are few and not ideal back to Jacksonville.  Itinerary says we dock at 7 am and the only decent flight leaves at 8:45.  My experience on prior cruises with other cruise lines is that you can usually get off the ship early if you have early flights but is this true with Seabourn? If not, I fear we couldn’t get through customs and make the flight.

  14. We have been on Insignia and then Marina in 2015.  Our veranda stateroom definitely needed maintenance then, like peeling varnish on the railing and stains on the carpet.  We’ve booked a PH2 next time and I’m hoping the ship has been given some tlc.  Oceania has many plusses so we are coming back.
