  1. Here is an article that explains this pretty good: https://emmacruises.com/ncls-freestyle-dining-explained/ Here’s a part near the end of the article that sums up the dress code: You won’t look out of place if you do dress up – but if you want to dine in jeans every day that is completely fine too. There are some rules. You can’t eat in the Main Restaurant in swimwear but that really is about it – as long as you are dressed then all is well. Technically the dress code is called “Smart Casual.”
  2. I always thought NCL was “freestyle dining” with no dress up night. I understand even jeans and a t-shirt (for men)are fine on NCL in the dining rooms. Of course I could be wrong. (been wrong before many times in my life lol)
  3. So what everyone is saying, there is no special Dinner meal in the MDR severed on Embarkment day anymore, correct? Just wanted to know before my cruise.
  4. On Embarkment day, is there still a special Dinner, like Prime Rib served or something similar? They used to do this about 10-11 years ago on the Breakaway the first night.
  5. Thanks for the videos! We would prefer a bed near the balcony, but seriously, it’s not a deal killer by any means lol. Not sure why were told that by NCL, but none the less, we are good to go.
  6. My travel agent told me after she talked with NCL directly. I called and spoke with NCL myself afterwards, just to verify that maybe the person she talked with at NCL was wrong, but I got the same story.
  7. Sorry, I found out that the Breakaway did a refurb in 2020 and they made every bed placed in the middle. So there are no more odd and even bed placements.
  8. Hi, Wanted to verify that the wide section of the floorplan for Breakaway balcony cabins on the NCL website is where the bed would be located. I see the wider area is different for each room, for example, room1 has the wide section near the balcony and room2 has the wide section in the center of the room, so this means room1 has the bed near the balcony and room2 has the bed more towards the middle etc. Do I have this correct? Thanks
