  1. Here is an article that explains this pretty good:

    https://emmacruises.com/ncls-freestyle-dining-explained/

Here’s a part near the end of the article that sums up the dress code:

You won’t look out of place if you do dress up – but if you want to dine in jeans every day that is completely fine too.

There are some rules. You can’t eat in the Main Restaurant in swimwear but that really is about it – as long as you are dressed then all is well. Technically the dress code is called “Smart Casual.”

What's this Dress up night of which you speak? I don't recall ever seeing a Dress up night on any of our previous NCL cruises...which is one of the reasons we cruise on NCL.

I always thought NCL was “freestyle dining” with no dress up night.  I understand even jeans and a t-shirt (for men)are fine on NCL in the dining rooms. Of course I could be wrong. (been wrong before many times in my life lol)

I’m not sure where you got that information, but there is no way that they did that. You need to dig deeper.

My travel agent told me after she talked with NCL directly.

I called and spoke with NCL myself afterwards, just to verify that maybe the person she talked with at NCL was wrong, but I got the same story.

  4. Hi,

Wanted to verify that the wide section of the floorplan for Breakaway balcony cabins on the NCL website is where the bed would be located.

I see the wider area is different for each room, for example, room1 has the wide section near the balcony and room2 has the wide section in the center of the room, so this means room1 has the bed near the balcony and room2 has the bed more towards the middle etc.

    Do I have this correct?

    Thanks

  5. I read that the balconies are teeny tiny on those decks for some reason

But I thought they were talking about the Aft Balconies, not the ones mid-ship.

We have a BA Balcony booked Mid-Ship on Deck 13.

From what I read on the Spreadsheet, these are small, but no difference than the other decks with BA Balconies.

Could someone tell me if what I read was correct about Mid-ship BA Balconies?

    Thanks

  6. On Celebrity every other cabin has bed by the balcony. Does NCL do the same thing. And then where do you begin counting balcony, bathroom, balcony, bathroom.

I almost booked on deck 13 and you say that is a bad spot. Good thing I found your information in time!!!!

We booked a Mid Ship Balcony on Deck 13. Why is it a bad spot?

    Thanks

  7. We just got back from Bermuda and we used David Fox for a tour and we were very happy. He took us all over Bermuda and was very accommodating. He responds to your emails very quickly and speaking of which, here is his contact email: thefox@logic.bm
