We ended up down $1500 but had a lot of fun and we'll get a $4k cruise out of it + around $500 in free drinks (no drink package), so that was a win!

We did okay. Hitting a Grand Jackpot on the first night helped. 
 

We used the certificate to book a cruise on the Ascent in April leaving out of Barcelona for 9 nights. Concierge comp stateroom.

The list of cruises to choose from only goes until July, so does that mean we only get 6-7 months?

 

We aren't exclusive to any cruise line (the loyalty perks aren't good enough to limit ourselves) so we have comps on multiple different lines so we're hoping we don't have to sail on Celebrity every 6 months as we typically only cruise 3-4x/year and don't want them all to be on Celebrity.

We also received a cruise certificate on our 12/10 - 12/17 Ascent cruise. On the bottom of the certificate in small print it states it must be redeemed within 30 days of the issuing cruise end date.

Roundtrip from Barcelona 5/15 to 5/27.  I think we'll be getting onboard as you depart from your TA unless you're staying for the additional 12 days.

Highly recommend the Monster Bus and Rainforest Exploration tour. Did this tour and had a BLAST!! Probably one of the best tours we have ever been on and had so much fun with the tour guides who were very, very knowledgeable about the rainforest, ecology, and the flaura and fauna of Costa Rica. Well worth the $79.95 per person in our opinion.

I agree. Best tour of our 10 day cruise.

Unfortunately, not "alleged" . It is a terrorist attack.

The van mowed pedestrians down on Las Ramblas, Barcelona - many dead and injured. Terrible day for Barcelona and it's visitors :loudcry:

 

There were 4 cruise ships docked today : Aida Aura ; RCL Brilliance of the Seas ; P&O Brittania ; (Thomson) TUI Discovery 2.

Unfortunately the TUI Discovery had not left when the attack occurred - it was due to sail at 7pm (19:00) -- so cruisers would still have been in the city when the terror attack occurred. The captain delayed the sailing & was waiting for people to try to make their way back . Hopefully not only were they safe, but could manage to get back to the ship before it leaves/left (if possible - as roads were closed, metros closed ,etc).

 

Celebrity Reflection is due to stop in Barcelona next week -- on 24th & 25th Aug (overnight). I wonder will that change now.

Wondering also. We will be on that sailing.

I did. I checked pricing weekly to see if the pricing dropped. This past weekend it dropped. I upgraded from a balcony 2C to AS (Aqua Suite) for $120/person on an 11 night Mediterranean cruise on the Reflection. I was able to keep my 123 promo. I chose the beverage package and $300 OBC. I was also able to keep my $315 and $75 dining credit from the TA. I originally booked back in December 2012. I was on the phone with the TA for an hour. It was worth it in my opinion.
