  1. I always put my passport in my back pack or whatever purse I am carrying for my trip and put it in the room where I stage all of my luggage and current cruise items, ie. set sail pass, hotel reservation and plain tickets. And since I am frequently in that room adding or taking away something for my trip I tend to go through that bag just to double, triple check or whatever just to make sure.

  2. This issue has been going on for nearly a month now. It is a little better than it was. I went to check my upcoming cruise on Anthem in October of this year...no reservation was showing, no payments...after a call to RCCL they assured me that they have my res. So I have to input it manually each time I check it in "my cruises". I ended up calling them 3 times, one time it showed I only owed $140 some odd dollars on my cruise when in fact I owed $700! I know the frustration...it is crazy!

  3. I hope this is not the case ! I am sailing on my favorite ship in October, I hope she hasn't changed!

I just got off Liberty on May 16, a ten night and also found the same type things you stated going on there!

    I thought it was Liberty!

My hubs and I are Diamond plus...sorry to say is this is becoming the new standard, we don't care for it....we will be cruising on other lines after we finish out our four we have currently booked.

  4. I was suprised to see Portofino on the deck plans for LOS. We will be sailing her in Dec of this year before her refurbishment. Can anyone advise if the filet is still availabe in Portofino on LOS? And is it still $20 pp? I am also happy to see no Isumi yet. That means we will have sushi in the WJ for dinner.

I honestly don't think it is gonna change over until after dry dock. Im thinking it will become Giovannis Table.

  5. I avoid this by taking the stairs as much as possible. I will continue to do so until it is necessary for me to ride the elevator. I usually look at the lifts if there is a line, stairs... Then I get to eat a little extra :-). Now lets not start about stair etiquette!

I would agree with your assessment that some of the rudest people are the elderly. We take a family vacation almost every year. My niece has gotten hurt twice by elderly people on scooters. The first time she was 3. We were waiting in line at the buffet for a sandwich when a lady ran over the back of her ankle, scraping off the skin. I turned around and said "Excuse me, you ran into my niece." And the woman said "Little children don't belong on ships." My niece was not screaming, crying, running around. She was just standing there with me, waiting for a sandwich.

The last time was last year. She was 7. We had just gotten back on ship after an excursion and headed up to the pool. We were ready to get off when a lady on a scooter barged her way into the elevator, and just mowed her over. Her leg got all scraped up, so she cried. The woman didn't say "Excuse me" or "I'm sorry." Later that afternoon, we were back at the pool and the lady scooted by telling her friend "That's the little brat from the elevator" and laughed.

My niece is always accompanied by an adult when she is on the elevators or anywhere on the ship. So she is not just out roaming around getting in the way of others. Both times it was either someone else not paying attention or being malicious to her.

Entitlement is not only an attitude of the young.

I could not agree more about the entitlement thing, I had a woman in the Windjammer nearly run up my building on Oasis this past March, she just looked at me and went rolling off, I said nothing because I was so angry and not wanting to cause a scene, so I just stared at her really hard. She was driving that thing like a race car driver in there!

  6. Hello all,

As far as our tablemates on the 3/26 cruise are concerned I am the keeper of the light, I saw it first well at least I was crazy enough to admitt it first icon_biggrin.gif

My hubby wants to blame it on my Midori Sours but that had nothing to do with it, I asure you.

We have started a KEEPERS of the Light little club fan club going as funny as it seems I really would like to konw what it was from.

One thing we do know is that when we asked the Maitr'D about it and our waiter they seemed to know nothing. I am wondering if this is because they are below the "Light" level being in crew cabins icon_rolleyes.gif

At any rate lets find out what this baby is, and then all celebrate with a Midori Sour for being the great detectives that we are!

    Sincerely,

The Keeper of the Lights, First Lady
