Hi. I'm looking for some thoughts and ideas from folks who have sailed in the Haven before. We travel as a family of five (two adults, three young children) and so far have sailed on Disney (1 time), Celebrity (5 times), and Royal Caribbean (10+ times). We are Diamond Plus on Royal. We only travel in two bedroom suites. Royal is becoming a disappointing let down in terms of perks and dining. So I heard about the Haven being nice, but have also heard that NCL in general lacks in some areas. So I'm curious if anyone with a similar family as done NCL's Haven and Royal's suites and how you think they compare. We typically do a Caribbean cruise or two when it's cold here in the mid Atlantic and then a two week cruise in the summer in Europe. Thank you!

Promo ticket.
I accumulated about 6500 points on the cruise. But the casino unexpectedly did not open the last night due to a medical emergency. Wasn't able to cash in my points for anything. I've reached out to CR but so far nothing other than they'll look into it.

We've been cruising with Royal since 2004. I miss the little things like chocolates on pillows, stationary, pens, shopping bags, and so forth. But what I really really wish was better was dining. Specifically quality of the main dining room at dinner and the availability of included other restaurants. We just got off Freedom and decided to eat at Johnny Rockets one day for lunch. It was $11 per person, plus $5 for milkshakes. We got McDonalds quality, and McDonalds service. I would like Royal to have places like JR that are included and then when we pay an upcharge have it be fantastic food and fantastic service.

Just off a Christmas cruise on Freedom. I bought $2000 of credits and got $200 extra. All was treated as freeplay credits. Could not cash out the $2000 I bought. Did not earn points until the whole $2200 was lost. On first night had two hand pays and walked away with $5700. The next six nights were terrible. No hand pays. Played $1 machines at max bet almost exclusively.

I just got back to my room
And found a cert for a free balcony cruise or $1000 off. Is that all thy offer?

Hello. I have almost 14,000 points from my current cruise. Today is the last day. What should I do now?

We have used air2sea/choice for one way business class to/from Europe. We live in the DC metro area. Excellent pricing. But it seems as the inventory gets used up remaining seats become more expensive. So book early! As N example, round trip on AA in J PHL-BCN five tickets @ ~$2500 each. In the height of the season.

On Vision now. Have had two MDR dinners so far. I’d rate the food a 4 and the service a 7. Want a ten on service? Then make sure water glasses are kept full, dirty plates cleared, food comes out hot, ice creams aren’t soupy, etc. and if the food comes out of the kitchen not right in some way then don’t bring it to me. Although I think most of the service quality issues are due to staffing cutbacks.

I honestly don't want to sound like I'm picking on you here, I'm really not, but if RCCL just doesn't measure up to people's likings anymore and food is certainly a big part of the cruising experience - why do they continue to keep coming back to the same "product" that they don't like? Just wondering?
Because I have three young kids. If it were not for them and the royal kids program we’d be long gone.

I’m on vision now, was on Anthem in June. So these thoughts should be current.
Anthem
MDR was ok but not special. Was more rushed than before the new menus.
WJ was almost awful, mostly because I want my food freshly prepared not a meat simmering in a sauce. Anthem had enough selections that it was passable.
Speciality restaurants were decent but no wow factor. Had Giovanni’s and Chops. Don’t recall the prices but don’t care about them either.
Vision
Spent one night so far in MDR on MtD. Definitely rushed. I continue to strongly dislike the new, limited menus.
Spent one night so far in a speciality (Giovanni’s). Service was better than MDR but not what it should or could be. Food was good but not great.
Two lunches so far in WJ. Would have been three but I’m so sick of that slop that I went back to my cabin and ordered room service today. Why is it so hard to have fresh food? I do not want burgers and hot dogs! Especially if they’ve been sitting in a steam tray. Where are the made to order stations? Deli meats other than pork products? Berry fruits(rasp, straw, blue, black)?
We are a couple in our thirties with three young kids who travel with us. Almost at diamond plus. Travel in suites. Royal is turning us off big time with their food trends. We sail them because of the kids activities and programs. But you’d think the young family with a free extra bucks to spend would be a target market for Royal....guess not.

I am aware of deck plans which cabins are two bedroom. What I want to know is can I search for just two-bedroom cabins somehow without doing dummy bookings?
-
Thanks. How can I find out those not to be named Web sites?
-
Thanks but I am trying to find cabins without having to call in. I can't stand how travel agents, both independent and ones who work for the cruise line, feel that they have license to call me back over and over. I would strongly prefer to find what I want without having to talk to anyone. That's why I'm hoping to find a way to find two bedroom cabins without doing dummy booking after dummy booking.
-
That is no longer the case. It used to be but you can see two bedrooms with occupancy of 5. You just can't book it online as one reservation. Curious if there is a way to just search for two bedroom cabins, whether it's using their (awful) Web site or some other party's.

Hello. I am looking for advice. I would like to know how to search for two bedroom cabins only. The Royal Caribbean Web site is frustrating to use. Is there a way, without having to talk to an annoying travel agent, to create a grid of cruises based on specific search criteria?
-
Hello. I am looking for advice on how to search for just FV cabins. That category only. I hate the Celebrity Web site. Thank you.

While I know it’s a good idea to always have a passport, is a passport required for a cruise leaving from the US sailing to the Bahamas and returning to the US?

Why not just get one?

Hopefully, you're also taking the plates back up after you're finished. Otherwise, you're still receiving room service (the cleaning up of your dirty plates and leftover food) and not paying for it!
It’s eight dollars. Who cares?

Fairly hard when the doors to the outside are constantly open and letting all the air conditioning out during busy times.
On Anthem chops is in the middle of the ship. No outdoor doors nearby....

We now only sail royal and only in suites with two bedrooms, because we travel with threee kids. I would absolutely love a suites area and pool. On Anthem a few days ago the pools were so crowded we didn’t use them.

I’m on Anthem now. Slots were fair the first two days but since then have been VERY tight. Multiple conversations with other gamers and I’ve heard the same from them. That said I boarded as a “prime” member of the casino program. Got up to 1800 points playing slots before deciding to stop ad they’re too tight. What happens, if anything, at this level of play?
