  1. Hi,

Has anyone done either of these tours through Carnival or another ship or similar tour? DH and I are debating between just the Turtle Centre and the excursion that also includes Hell and Stingray City. I've seen really positive and really negative reviews about both options. DH really wants to see the birds in the aviary at the turtle centre (this only seems to be available in the longer turtle only excursion) and I really want to spend some time in the sea (like with the sting rays. We both want to see animals so at least we're in agreement there.

Can anyone tell me about their experiences at any of these three locations (string ray city, turtle center, and Hell)? Is Hell really interesting? Does sting ray city differ in any way from other sting ray excursions? Is the turtle centre interesting enough to enjoy for the entire I think it was 4.5 hour excursion?

    Thanks!

  2. Hi,

I'm going on a Carnival Cruise to Bermuda next month with 2 friends from college. I've been on many cruises but never to Bermuda. The ship will be there Wed - Fri.

I'm looking for recommendations of any must-do things in Bermuda, without doing anything totally extravagant and expensive because we're in our 20s / 30s. We're interested in things like snorkeling, caves, beaches, seeing pink sand and sunsets, and mostly relaxing (nothing too adventurous or physically difficult). What do you recommend and what should be booked with the cruise versus done independently? Thanks!!

  3. Hi all,

It seems like you need to buy 4 sodas a day to make the bottomless bubbles package worth it, but I can't find any information about juice prices to compare. I also seem to recall that juice was available and included at breakfast so I'm wondering how much of a benefit this really is? I have a couple questions, thanks for your help!

    • Does anyone know much juices are if you buy them without a bottomless bubbles plan and does this plan make different juices available than what's usually at breakfast?
    • Can you take a can of soda with you off the ship?
    • Does getting bottomless bubbles help with simple mixed drinks too? Say I want to drink a gin and tonic or rum and pineapple, do you have to pay more for the mixer if you don't have bottomless bubbles? :whiskey-glass:

  4. lol...we do that for convenience.... doesn't automatically flag you as a newbie.

might have something to do with the fact that we're used to it because our job id's are on a lanyard too...

and I don't usually have pockets in what I'm wearing. :D

I agree! That's so much more convenient then searching for it every time you need it. Lots of women's clothes don't have pockets and I don't want to carry a purse around the entire time. Some ships will put it on a lanyard for you at the casino. Why not take advantage?

To add to the list...bringing body wash. Definitely something I did the first time and that was a decent amount of room I could have saved in my suitcase. I agree with the sunburn. I learned that if you're going anywhere very sunny you better bring an old t-shirt or cover up. I even plan to wear it in the water in the future because I got the worst sunburn of my life and couldn't move for a few days. Eating somewhere en route to board, you've got time to kill before you go to your room anyway and there's plenty of food on the ship. Not sure every line does this but I'd also say going to the spa raffle at the beginning. Tons of people rush the spa area only to be disappointed to find that you didn't actually win a treatment just a small fraction off one that's still pretty expensive. Only go to that if you intend to use the services anyway or getting a discount would make a difference in your choice to do it. And waiting till the last day to buy things in the shop. Terrible idea. Take care of any shopping at the beginning when it's empty and spend the last day relaxing not fighting people for the last t-shirt.

Ok, that's long. I'll stop now. Sorry!
