Getting very close guys!! See you in Barcelona soon.
I am Oskar, 22 year old from Norway. Crusing solo, always on the lookout for drinking buddies.

Oasis, see bottom two photos.

Thanks!! Looks like a great cabin. I like the layout alot, and the windows, man are they huge!:p

We have stayed in cabins like this on Oasis and Harmony, but on deck 7. Really liked the layout and thought the cabin seemed more spacious. There was also much more wardrobe space than in the standard OV cabin at least on Harmony (SIL had one of those). You should have a pretty decent view on deck 9. Ours was limited because we on the same level as the helipad. I do have a (not particularly good) pic of the sloping part of the cabin and the view out the window, but I don't know how to put it on here. I did try but it wouldn't upload, said I had to resize them and that's beyond my technical abilities. :o
Thank you for your inputs, I appreciate it. Sounds wonderful! I wonder how far away the staircase and elevators are. May take me a few minutes to get to the Margaritas at Sabor.:')

Does anyone know if the forward facing cabins on deck 9 are bigger than the standard ocean views? The cabin number is 9106. How does the slate affect the general feel of the room?
Does anyone have any pics of these rooms to share:):)

Love all the latest updates, THANK YOU LLOYD!! She is really taking shape.

Yes, I'm very familiar with the Waterfront. I've spent many hours walking round it on the Breakaway, Getaway and Escape, as well as just sitting on the chairs or at a bar out there.
I don't see how the presence of the restaurants stops it being a promenade deck.
I am intrigued as to what the OP was looking for in a promenade deck that the waterfront didn't offer.
There IS in fact even a promenade deck on deck 6 below the Waterfront. Just sayin'

Hi all,
I am doing an NCL cruise this Fall to the following 4 Western Caribbean Ports. I can't do an excursion at all of them. Help! Which ones have a safe beach nearby the ship vs. which ones would you do an excursion in? Any information is greatly appreciated :)
Roatan, BayIslands, Honduras
Harvest Caye,Belize
Costa Maya,Mexico
Cozumel,Mexico
Thanks!
I would highly recommend a visit to the Mayan Ruins in Cozumel, preferably Chicen Itza. Amazing sights!
There will be safe beaches in every port, especially HC and Roatan.

Thank you all for your inputs!
I called NCL Europe today and they just amended the booking to 30th of March 2019. I kept my cruisenext depositum, any promotions and also got OBC and an extra point from the Latitudes offer, even though BLISS is currently not covered, at least not on the websites.
HAPPY CHAP!! I can go ahead and book Symphony TA now, which was the main reason for switching dates on Bliss. :p:p

We want to switch the November 3rd Panama Canal Cruise to the one in April. Can we easily transfer our booking to the other one? Or do we have to cancel and make a new booking; and if so do we also keep the nextcruise depo?
Thanks in advance!

We are! Second transatlantic, first on NCL
Exciting, welcome! :) Guess there will be quite a few onboard. We were a huuuge gang on Harmony, had so much fun.
-
Second transatlantic, first with NCL in a studio. Who is coming along?!

Thank you for your honest review. We were on the first Caribbean sailing after, you, and had slightly more worse experience than you. There are definitely some major service issues which I hope they manage to sort out some day. Until then, I dont think we will try Costa again - just stick with what we know, like RCCL and NCL.
-
Booked Costa and came onboard with an average expectation. I am not like the ones who go on cruises and look for things to complain on. I am somewhat a experienced cruiser and just wanted to have a good time, but consisting bad service and attitudies onboard made it a rather tough week. Will not book another cruise with Costa but thats my own choice. I am sure people enjoy them
Will post a more detailed review in a few days.

Must say we've been on many Costa cruises and all the ships are always spotless.
We've also eaten in the Pizzeria on different Costa ships and never had plastic glasses. Are you referring to the buffet area? I think you will have plastic glasses there because it leads to the pool decks and having proper glasses would be a hazard there because lots of people go bare foot.
I read endless reports on various lines and it appears to be the norm for all them gudging by the photos.

Yes they have closed off a small area of the buffet. They should have proper glasses in that small area. Plastic just cheapens the experience.
I'm glad that both of you had a good experience with the cleanliness of the ship but its not the case this time. Dust in corridors, staircases and layers of dust in certain areas in the buffet. Crumbs in chairs and behind couches in pizzeria.
-
For the first time I cant wait to get off the ship, and we are on day two. Very diseappointed!
Service is really bad and especially in the dining room where little is being done to try to please us. Everything from slow service, mediocre food and being charged for water when you order a bottle of wine even. Not possible to get ice cream or cappucino there either.
Food in buffet is barely edible and beer served in plastic glasses in the pizzeria.
Embarkation day was a nightmare, it took us four hours to get on the ship. Eek!!
Ship is not very clean, there are layers of dust lots of places.
Trying to keep an open mind but struggling. Fingers crossed it get better!

Does anyone know if Costa offers the Mayan Ruins tour in Cozumel, and does it visit the Chicen Itza?
Any other hot tips for excursions?
Many thanks!

There was a thread started back in August (see link) about the Escape showing up in Portland, Maine on a weekly basis starting September 2018.
http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2392974&highlight=portland+escape
Now this thread is saying the Breakaway is showing up in Southhampton 2018.
It would seem possible that the Escape could be replacing the Breakaway in 2018. The pieces of the puzzle are starting to come together.
Nice to see that NCL is looking to change things up a bit.
It actually feels kind of exciting! :D
That makes a lot of sense. Exciting yes!!

Breakaway coming from Portland, Maine via Le Havre to Southampton.
So will she be based in the UK or will she replace Getaway in the Baltics? Exciting times ahead!!!

Sadly not a very exciting sailaway... there were no horn to be heard, no passengers shouting and cheering.. but it was very beautiful!
