Has anyone booked a tour directly with a tour company in Punta Cana yet? I am not sure if they are set up to handle Cruise Ship passengers yet.

We are sailing on the Hal Oosterdam and they have us going to St Thomas on Nov 8th. We were changed to St Croix after the hurricane but last night we were switched back to St Thomas.

I am also on this cruise. Looking to book an excursion directly with a tour company, but not sure what will be operating.

When I had a gf with 2 kids we would always drive to port as airfare for that many people is expensive. My advice, I drove from NC to FL for a 4 day cruise once, and will never do it again. 4 days goes by so quick, the drive there and back was not worth it. 7 day minimum for a cruise, unless you live 30 minutes from the port.

Since everyone seems to be mocking the OP, let me say I am Gold with 3 cruises to go to platinum. The perks on Carnival are already the worst of any line, and now you let people pay a trivial amount to receive the perks I am working towards. Not good, shame on you Carnival for selling out your platinum members for $50.
