jilljoy, when you flew on the dreamliner, did they provide a pillow and blanket at all? I usually take my own small one but would prefer not to.

We have stayed in an outside on deck 4 and there was a flexible, removable hose in our shower.

We are due to cruise on Celebration in Jan. We have been on board a few times but only for a week. Towards the end of the week my back is so painful because of the extremely hard bed. This time we are going for two weeks and I am dreading the discomfort. I have asked Thomsons welfare dept for advice but they can't help. My question is, have any of you had a similar problem or can you offer any advice ie, can a mattress topper be provided or an extra mattress?

Kruzseeka, I can't remember where the photos were but I know they were yours......I wish I had known you were there too as I also enjoy a good chat (I could have got lots of info from you over a clotted cream scone!)

I have previously bumped into Berwyn on the Spirit.....I am slowly working my way through you all!

Mainelycruising, we all cruise for different reasons and enjoy different styles of cruising. Thomson cruises tick all our boxes, small friendly ships, great entertainment, not too many sea days. I think some of the larger ships look a bit imposing. We will probably stick with Thomson for time being but thanks for mentioning the other choices.

Kruzseeker, we were on the Majesty together! Neither of us knew it, however you posted a couple of photos and there we were - having our afternoon tea! Small world.....

We are considering a two week cruise on Celebration starting 18th Jan 2015. Caribbean Treasures/Latin Gems. We have travelled on Celebration a few times and are happy with that part but we are unsure of the weather at this time of year.We have chosen Jan as at this time the cruise is adults only, however we could change dates if need be.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

We did the Colourful Coasts on 7th Feb. We have been on Celebration many times and found maybe the food was not quite as good as previous times but that is only a small part of the experience. The rest of the cruise was brilliant. The entertainment and crew were great.We saw no evidence of NV although there was no self service in the Lido for the entire cruise, the staff served the food wearing gloves. There were a couple of choppy sea nights so take some appropriate medication, we use Stugeron and were ok. Many did not make it to the Captains night so not much atmosphere or dressing up. There were a few dinner jackets and they looked really good.

Go with an open mind and enjoy the experience.
