How about tests for returning back to the US? Does viking provide them?  I am cruising next week and am set to go just not sure what happens at the end of the cruise 

I am trying to book this today, and was told that I will only get $75 obc when the offer really says 100.  I am asking my travel agent to push it a bit futher, but the princess rep says its only 75... I am not going to fight such a minor difference but it is frustrating

For me the cruise personalizer and travel documents and for my husband just the travel documents.  I have not scanned either of our passports in yet, but did do the personalizer for us

Thanks for the number for tech support.  I have set up the app and entered info for me and my DH for our cruise on CB in February.  I think, or thought I had ordered the medallions but  never received an email confirming.  I think I might be having some glitches.  I completed personalizers for both of us but on the home page where it shows your progress of completing the process, it is indicating that my personalizer is not completed.  

I was wondering if the Caribbean Princess has the "new"er bar menus.  I know they have been on the Royal/Regal for some time, but just read a thread that they were recently rolled out as new on the Island.  It's the "Taste of something New" one that is usually in the front/back of the menu on the Lido deck bars and includes the Strawberry Mo-Tito & Grapefruit Rickey. Thanks! 

The BVE is also offered in NY. I have done it several times in Brooklyn. (and have on one occasion been able to have the $39 applied to a cruise I had booked just prior to booking/doing the BVE, took some work on my Travel agents part, but every little bit helps. )

Now that makes sense. I recall seeing him years ago in Crooners and always really enjoyed his performances. Was confused to see him billed as "comedian" and even more confused to hear of so many people wanting to walk out on him. That's a shame because he was very enjoyable, but I can certainly see how taking him out of the element would change the dynamic (and make it more difficult to watch).

I too did this excursion last February. I don't recall the length of time we were in port, but it was the standard length, not anything extended. We made it back to the ship with plenty of time to spare. We loved this and it seemed way more fun than the tubing. We werent on the water for 5 hours. I would say the whole trip was 5 hours, if that.

Is there a way to get to Placencia without going through Harvest Caye? I am not sailing on NCL so am assuming will not be going to Harvest Caye. Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. I was getting nervous about those balconies as my TA told me the representative told her that we would have to sign a waiver about the balcony not being able to be accessed while in motion. The TA did follow up with a supervisor who dis confirmed the signing a waiver part, but did enforce the idea that we might be able to consistently access the balcony. From everything I have read on cruise critic it seems that this rule is not really enforced.

Hi, I am looking at booking a cruise for 2020 and am excited about the idea of one of the forward facing balcony cabins on either the Lido or Marina deck (am leaning towards Lido). I am traveling with other people so we were looking at getting at least 2 cabins. Does anyone know if these are cabins in which the balconies can be accessed from one to the other (as is seen in more traditional balcony cabins). I wasnt sure due to the different structure of these balconies. Thanks

I don't imagine they would give you this information now after the fact. We had a server in Crooners on our last cruise on the Regal who at the end of every night would let each of our group of four how many drinks we had left. If we had a balance she would usually give us some bottles of water (good to reach the numbers and help offset the other drinks ;p;p;)). It kind of became our thing at the end of each night.

I am reading all the great news that Magen's bay is open and looking good. I have been here many times and was looking to take some friends there when we go to St thomas in 2 weeks. Does anyone know if the small beach bar that was there has reopened? Thanks

I am scheduled to go there as part of a private tour I booked in about a month. I can certainly report back if no one else has by then.

Anyone know how many people they book per snorkel excursion? My DH and I are headed to St Martin's in March and would like to book with a local tour operator.

I am sailing the Regal in 2/18 with my Dh and 2 friends (they are each cruising solo in a cabin). we are all insides. My friends received an email stating she was not *****, I received no email. I called my TA to inquire about an OBC and she got back to me saying that we would have to wait and see that it was too early out to know who was/wasnt getting the *****

Knowing so many people were getting $100 credits I called. First rep told me I was not in fact getting the ***** but I could still benefit from the internet, I told her this was not really ok as we had made the choice to book this particular cruise as it was advertiesed as an ***** (didn't really matter to me, but sweetened my cases). She transferred me to customer relations who offered me a $65 credit. I told her I knew of people on my exact cruise getting $100 and she said they were giving a percentage of what was paid (makes sense since I got my cabin for around 650 a person). She did say she could do $100 for each of my friends going solo. Seemed very fair to me... and was super easy to do. Showed up immediately in our personalizers

Wow! Two pages and I have yet to see a post from someone asking:

 

"If I'm on one of these cruises, can I turn my ***** in and get the OBC instead?"

That was going to be my question. I am sailing in February. Have not heard anything specifically from Princess who onboard will receive *****, if it will indeed be ship wide by then, or still rolling out. If it is not functioning as it should,. I would much rather have an OBC than be part of the test group. ;)

I just booked with them earlier this week for my trip in Feburary

I am wondering if they are initially giving passengers one of the bracelets with the medallion? I am scheduled to sail on the Regal in February and am just curious. If you get/have that info thanks. I appreciate you starting this thread

Hello. are you cruising on 2/18? Is so I will see you there as I am on that cruise as well. I would have seconded the nomination for AirBnB. I was initially hesitant, but now that I have done it once, I enjoy the bargains I have found. something to consider. There is a roll call for our cruise if you would like to come join it!

I actually bought one that adapts to fit a wide variety of outlet types.. so I think it is able to configure to the type needed.. my only concern is that it is rectangular in shape,so not sure it will fit into that round hole. Thanks though so much for your input!!
