It’s been many years since we have been on Celebrity and previously mostly travelled Aqua where I know bottled water was provided in cabin. Upcoming cruise we are in Concierge. How much is bottled water to purchase onboard?  We are Elite Plus.

When you go to the “Elite” Cocktail Hour ask for a bottle of water in addition to, or in place of, your drink, then you don’t need to pay.  We always stock up this way the first few days on board.

I just booked Ascent guarantee aqua class and assumed that all aqua class come with these perks. Thanks

I’m not sure, but will say that my TA told me when I tried to book an Aqua Class Cabin without perks, that it was not possible and that all Aqua Class Cabins are sold as “All Inclusive.”  Would love to hear from others, to see if TA was uninformed.

  3. We did this in Feb 2022 for my MIL.  Princess did such a great job. I emailed the request to:

     ashesrequest@princesscruises.com

In the email you will want to include your

    Ship:

    Sailing date:

    Booking number:

It may take them a little bit to get back to you as this is handled onboard.  A few things to note, you must have the ashes in a biodegradable earn (I got one from Amazon) this can only be done in international waters.  Princess will advise you of any other requirements on their end when they get back to you.

That has substantially reduced the advantage that Princess has over other lines as far as I am concerned.

I wonder if I can claim veterans and my wife the shareholders? Will have to see?

I wonder what happens when you have already spent both on excursions.

Exactly what I was thinking.  The shares are solely  mine; spouse is the veteran.  Guess we will dine out.

  5. My spouse caught it many years ago on the Connie, along with many others. I was quarantined with him, but did not catch it. We received a small credit ... maybe $20.00, but we’re not expecting anything.

  6. I just wanted to post what I thought of Mr. Sanchos. I was there last Month, mid-September while on a cruise.

I did not care for it. We went with a group of six from our cruise ship. At first, it seemed fine. Someone took our picture as we entered, which I assumed would be for sale to us later. We paid and were shown to some seats at a table with an umbrella. So far, so good. A young man (don't recall the name) came over, identified himself and said he would be taking care of us for the day. He took an order of drinks for us all. We sat and talked with our drinks. Then, one by one, people came by with various items or shows for tips. We saw no less than: an iguana with a diaper. A mariachi band. A parrot or some other kind of bird. A salesperson for a massage. Salesperson for the fish pedicure. Bracelets for sale. Other jewelry for sale. The band started playing and we didn't ask them to, They stood there and said "we work for tips". Well, we didn't summon you over. We told them we would catch up with them later. They said they were leaving in 10 minutes. It was pathetic. I am not usually bothered, but this was ridiculous. I figured it we paid 55 per person for a private beach, then it should be private. If I wanted a massage or braids, I would go inquire with them.

Finally we decided to leave the table and thought we would be safe in one of the pools. My husband and I were having a nice conversation in the pool and a woman popped her head through the foilage at the side. She said she had our picture and would sell it to us for xx amount (don't remember the price). OMG. She went on to tell us that she had an hour bus ride to get there and back. I'm sorry, I still don't want the picture. We are enjoying ourselves in the pool. Went to the restroom and there is a tip jar there too (which, by the way, have seen at many places in the Caribbean, have been on 19 cruises).

I will say that this was a very light day in port and the place was not crowded. So maybe these people just bothered us more than normal as there were not as many people there. It was not an enjoyable day for me.

The drinks - I started drinking Sol. It was not draft, not even a single can or bottle. I watch the bartender pour it from a larger bottle into a cup. It tasted watered down. I start on Margaritas. The bartender in the pool was very good as he kept refilling my margarita for me, but I must say they couldn't have been full strength. There would have been no way that I could have been vertical after 12 margaritas and 2 beers.

We had the buffet food for lunch and it was mediocre, while we were sitting at that location a group of 3 or 4 men came by with accordian or similar instruments. We told them no thank you and they moved on.

Like I said, I am well aware of the people of the islands and their livelihoods but this was overkill and not a great day for me. I will not be returning to Mr. Sanchos. I don't think I will give Nachi Cocum a try either. Might stick with Paradise Beach if I want a beach day, or even Money Bar. YMMV.

Please tell me this is not the case at Nachi.

  8. We don’t drink much (maybe a $300 bar bill at most), but do enjoy Blu and the Persian Gardens. I think I would change to Aqua and just take a couple bottles of wine on board with me. It is all up to your individual preferences. Also as another passenger stated, sometimes the A2 cabin locations are not optimal. Sailing in Nov in Aqua.

  11. We are looking for a few more people to go with Radical snorkeling on October 30th. The charter includes transportation to and from the cruise ship dock, snacks, a nice lunch, all beverages (soda, bottled water, local beer and spirits)and snorkeling gear. A crew of young strong snorkel guides will take good care of you in the water. I've only heard good things and am looking forward to this trip.
