  1. Our cruise was in the middle of the March and was cancelled by NCL, not us.  I decided to dispute the charges with my cc (credit card)  after to speaking with my cc company and confirming that services were not delivered by the merchant.   The cc company advise ME to dispute the charge.  Yesterday, NCL disputed that  charge reversal and told my cc company that I had a non-refundable fare.   They did not tell the cc company that THEY cancelled the cruise.  They also told the cc company they had issued a full future cruise cruise.  My cruise was several thousand.  My FCC is $176 (obviously a mistake, but that is what they are showing and telling me I have).  The cc company, Mastercard, then reinstated the charge on my card.  I called up the cc company and after a lengthy discussion, they agreed my charge should not have been re-applied.  Even so, now I have to provide written documentation with exhibits and proof, as they said similar to a legal case, in order to get the charged reversed again.

  3. I also cancelled on March 10th for a sailing on March 14th under Peace of Mind.  Since the March 14th cruise did not even go, I called my credit card to file a dispute.  I have already received the credit back.  They can keep their useless FCC.

Did you cancel or did you wait until they cancelled the cruise?

Cancelled  during Peace of Mind.  Since the cruise did not sail, I doubt they could say I cancelled and only Get FCC .

Edit: Of course they could say whatever.  Mine is not a CN

How did they end up refunding you or putting what you paid to a future cruise?

They said FCC.  But, I have nothing in writing.  I can see my cruise is cancelled when I look online.  Although, I can still upgrade my room on my cancelled cruise, LOL!!

  6. I finally got through.  I run a call center, so I know this is tough.  The rep was very nice as others have stated.  Unfortunately, she could not tell me the amount of the FCC and said I would not get notification of the cancellation for 7-10 days.  Not a lot of confidence there.

We were booked through CAS, so our cost for the 8 day cruise for 4 was just fees and the dining add-on.  I doubt I will ever be able to use the FCC.

Also, our friend booked through a TA who charged her $100/person to cancel and will refund back if she books next cruise with them.
