  1. Nafplion...

maybe the most beautiful city of Greece. The ship doesn't docking but is tender very close to city port.

Attractions: Old Nafplion, Mycenae, Epidaurus and Palamidi castle.

In old town you can find many restaurants and taverns for taste the local food (very good fish and sea food but first check the prices :D).

Mycenae is an archeological site 15 miles from Nafplion and you will spend over 3 hours there (isn't so friendly place for persons with mobility problems).

Epidaurus is an archeological site too with the famous theater. Is 30-40 miles from Nafplion and you will spend 4-5 hours there.

Palamidi is a medieval castle at the top of a hill in Nafplion (10 minutes with car).

    Swimming:

Arvanitia beach... in Nafplion (10 minutes walking from port - pebbles and rocks).

Karathona beach... 10 minutes from Nafplion by car (sandy and very organized - has some cafe and taverns)

Tolo.. a small village 15-20 minutes from Nafplion (sandy with many taverns and cafe)

At Tolo village you can go with local buses (every 1 hour), for Karathona beach you must get a taxi.

  2. Anapli thanks a lot for this special app. It must really an effort to come up with something like this. In case we have questions do you mind if we contact you by your yahoo address? Is it still working? Thanks again & cheers.

    yes.. is working...

  3. if you using the X80 bus you can get the trolley #5 from Vasilisis Amalias street (150 meters from X80 bus stop). After 3 stops you will depart at "Polytexneio" stop.. at 200 meters you will see the museum.

for return... go back to "Polytexneio" stop but at the opposite side of the road and get one of the trolley #2 or #11 or #15. Will depart after 3-4 stops at Syntagma square 50 meters from X80 bus stop.

You don't need purchase a new ticket for these routes. You can using the X80 ticket for all Athens transportations all day (bus, trolley, metro etc).

  4. Best way for go to Delphi is a taxi. Last year cost ~60 euro per taxi (max 4 passengers) for round trip (the taxi waiting for 3 hour in Delphi for your tour).

There is and a local bus but I don't know if your time plan match their departs times (you must get the 10:45 bus to Delphi).

Itea has a lot beaches... the most popular beach is "Miami beach" (yes, you reading right:)) where you can find many taverns with fish/sea food.

  5. Something is wrong in this article... the new prices:

Acropolis site + Roman Agora + Olympeion etc = 20 euro (now 12 euro)

Knossos site (Heraklion Crete) = 15 euro (now 6 euro)

Ancient Theater of Epidaurus = 12 euro (now 6 euro)

Mycenae site = 12 euro (now 8 euro)

... and some other sites ...

They plan these prices will be from April to October... all other months will be 50% lower.

    THESE PRICES AREN'T FINAL!!

  6. Celestyal Cruises

They have 3-4 nights cruises (3nights depart Fridays - 4nights depart Mondays). They don't have give cruises program for 2016 but normally cruises start from mid March (this year started at March 13th).

Last year the ship Olympia run 3-4 nights cruises but for 2016 they will have a new ship for these durations (Celestyal Nefeli).

  7. All news in Germany are reporting, that at the moment a Greek bank crash seems to be inescapeable the next days. Good look with your plastic cards in Greece! ;)

(I can't believe, that the news are so different in UK?)

    is simple.. stop reading BILD...

  8. Don't try to discuss such things with me, I'm 100% on your side!

We have to pay these billions and you haven't got them, we are sitting in the same boat!

But the politicians who have to decide about further billions are exactly the same, you wrote about and Tsipras kicked them in their ass publicly, further questions?

I do not blame you for something! I don't have problem with any German but only with your and my government(s).

How can we be competitive with other tourist countries when the EU asks us to increase the VAT on hotels and restaurants to 23%?

  9. Sorry, but they overlook a little thing:

If the Greek vote "yes", wether Merkel nor the other European heads of state are able to decide going on to support the Greeks with further Billions!

In most of the Euopean countrys this decission is up to the parliaments and Tsirpas leds all of them around by the nose in last weeks!

A lot of experts in Germany consider it not for sure, that Europe is willing to send further Billions of Euros to Greece, even if they vote "Yes". Therefore you have to know, that the Greeks have one of the highest private savings balance in whole Europe, even a lot higher than the Germans and Germany paid more than 80 Billions Euro to Greece in the last Years! On the other hand Greece has a much higher standard of living than several other Euro-countrys, who have to pay for Greece. Last but not least, Greece faked their financial statement to join the Euro at all. All this makes it very hard to demand further Billions from this countrys if you perform like Tsirpas did.

No one can drop them out of the Euro by law or a political decission, but without further aid programs from the other countrys, they will have a national bankruptcy in the next 2 weeks!

What are you talking about? Ask your government where they have give these billions! for sure not to Greek people/companies but for save the Greek banks and pay old loans! Greek people and companies for 5 years pay taxis and every year you ask us more...

Is truth that they have faked the financial statement but guess who help them with this (and why).

About debt.. 2009 we have 113% debt and after 5 years who the EU (with Germany as leader) start to "save" us is 175%.. sorry but, stop save us!!

And for the end.. we don't vote for stay in EU or not.. we vote about new measures who want your government ..

  10. But, even more troubling, a Greece exit from the Euro would mean that Greece didn't undergo the significant reforms it has promised and needs to do for its own sake. The 2010 bailout was supposed to give Greece breathing room and time to make those reforms, but the Tsiparas government is now trying to roll back those reforms.

Where do you have reading these? I'm not Tsipras fan but these aren't true! EU (and USA of course) just don't want a left government in their block. EU ask from Tsipras hard measures and he has give these.. next day they ask more hard measures! If Tsipras say yes to their measures they will find more measures until Tsipras resign from government and add their "dogs" on there who sign without reading!

Sorry, but we don't want Europe "friends" like them... we don't want a currency who work just for a country!

Note... Tourists don't have problems with cash/credits cards on ATMs.. there isn't limit for them but most of stores accept only cash.

Note2... the transportation in Athens is free this week (buses, metro etc).

  11. The best way (my opinion):

Airport to Syntagma square(Athens) with bus X95 (5 euro per person)

    walking 40-50 meters and get:

Bus X80 to Piraeus cruise port(s) (4 euro per person)

There are 2 cruise ports: A terminal and B terminal (normally, Emerald must be in B terminal)

At B terminal is the end of bus route.

There is and X96 bus from airport to Piraeus but is a bit harder for get a bus to cruise port.
