  1. How did you book it? We were hoping to do this on our cruise in March but it’s not available through the ship.

We did this excursion last year (with the return by catamaran) and loved it! It was a ship’s tour. If not offered by your ship, I’d Google “sugar train St. Kitts” to see how else to book.

  2. I believe he will be. His family is onboard with him. I’ll ask him next time I see him. He is very knowledgeable and doing a enrichment lecture on all sea days.

I have had the pleasure of sailing with Mickey Live several times. He is incredibly knowledgeable, funny, approachable and kind. His enrichment lectures are great and his live commentary (eg. transiting the Suez Canal) is incredible. I think you’ll really appreciate what he has to offer.

  3. my fave carry on is a freebie i got as a Durham Bulls Baseball mini-season ticket holder--shoulder strap, side pockets, roomy.....there is no way anyone could look at it, then look at me, and think "wow, she's sophisticated and fab....let's rob her!!!"

The "big" suitcase is one we got from Oahu ATW16 when the wheels of my other suitcase was broken Day 1...so we took the free shuttle to Walmart, along with half of the passengers and most of the crew, and got stuff.

The suitcase has a big green H on the front...so, no designer luggage for us!!! Although, having said that, I am in the market for a 2 wheeled ultra-lightweight suitcase --been told to look at IT luggage. Anybody know anything about IT??

Love my IT luggage. Highly recommend IT!

Fortunately, I do not suffer from motion sickness but my friends do. I learned about Stugeron while on a cruise from felllow passengers who absolutely swore by it. According to them, it not only is super-effective but it has many FEWER side effects than other seasick meds. They also claim that you do not have to take it before symptoms present, but you can take one when you feel the malaise coming on and it works. Start with half a tab and if it doesn’t seem to be helping, take another one. I looked it up online and found that it’s the remedy most recommended by the British Royal Navy for seasickness. I have found it sold in European pharmacies in 25mg and 75mg doses. Spain only sells the 75mg tablets. Hope this helps.

  5. Let's be clear ...

    Stugeron is a medication.

Sturgeon is a smoked white fish.

Surgeon is the guy who's going to perform my lobotomy.

    Surge is a push forward.

Serge is the fabric I'll be buried in after the side effects from combining stugeron and sturgeon for sea sickness sent me to a surgeon who surged when he should have slowed.

  6. Hi, I need a little advice. Booked our Bermuda cruise next May. Managed to get a hotel for pre-nights after a bit of a struggle due to Mother's Day weekend and Graduations in the area during the month of May. Finally got reservations at the Harborside Inn near Faneuil Hall, which I found the most reasonable choice of the hotels directly downtown in the area I wanted to stay in. Some hotels wanted $500-700 per night, if they even had a room available and this is 8 months away! Holland America's hotel suggestion in Copley Square was a no-go due to the outrageous price they were demanding (I can't even say it without choking - even my travel agent was shocked and she used to work for a major hotel chain!) Anyway.....

Now I need advice on getting from the airport to the downtown hotel and from the hotel to the pier (Black Falcon Cruise Terminal?) and again on a post night stay from the hotel back to the airport. I am discovering that the taxi fares are a wee bit high, but that is to be expected I guess. Any advice on shuttle services? We are not young and spry and don't want to deal with buses or the "T". There are many shuttle services listed and I just don't know which ones are good ones.

Any tips you can give me would be appreciated. Thank you very much.

We live in downtown Boston and use UBER all the time to both the cruiseport and the airport.
