We have done the Trans Pacific from Australia three times. My DH was worried about all of the sea days, too, on our first one. He now loves them. They have tons of activities,; whether you like participating or watching. You would have a hard time doing everything scheduled.
We bring binoculars so we can watch for sea life from our balcony. On these itineraries we have seen a banded sea snake, many turtles. a hammer head shark (chasing one of the turtles), dolphins and a sun fish. We always enjoy watching for flying fish too.

We sailed on Azamara (Alaska) and had the equivalent status from RCL (we are D+). If you enjoy great food, Azamara was wonderful. The beds were among the most comfortable we have ever slept in while sailing. The showers were even smaller than the ones in RCL cabins. If you are into the big production shows on RCL, then Azamara doesn't have anything like that. It's a much more intimate cruise, with very little up charge. They did have the best borrowing library I have ever seen on a ship.

I googled Stargzgazing Flashlight and it came up as a Red Flashlight for Stargazing. You can get them from Amazon and maybe even Walmart (it shows on the Walmart.ca site).

Is the Harmony TA cancelled or "sold out"? It's no longer listed for sale.
They have changed the itinerary slightly, so I guess they pulled it from the website to make those changes.
Changes:
Malaga will be on day 4 instead of day 3
We will be making a stop in Nassau, Bahamas two days before landing in Florida. One person speculated that this is so they can Covid test all passengers the 48 hrs before entering the US.
The cruise is now 13 days rather than 14 days as they need the extra day to do the Coast Guard inspection prior to resuming cruising from the US.
The email that was received stated that all changes (including changes to flights) will be made by October 15th.

After looking up the Presidential Proclamation (not CSO) that is what everyone is referring to, I find that since I am a dual Canadian/US citizen, my husband (Canadian) will also be allowed to enter the US.
Yay!
See you all on the ship!

I am wondering if Canadians would also be allowed, since we can fly into the US. It's just the land borders we can't cross.
Canadians are flying into the US and doing cruises out of Florida and New Jersey now.

I have been able to request the flights I wanted from Air2Sea. They were able to book whatever I had researched on other sites.

DH likes his coconut rangers with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Mmmm....😋
I saw a picture on one post where someone had made an ice cream sandwich using the coconut cookies and soft serve from the machine. They said it was messy, but good.

Tao is a wonderful, sweet person with a winning personality. We spent 28 days onboard Mariner with him earlier this year and he is very special. Enjoy!

I know this is an older thread but, haven't found any others so far and didn't want to repeat the question in a new thread.
Is in suite dining still available from the dining room menu at breakfast and dinner for Grand suites? Thanks!
You can also order from the new room service menu during the regular hours (never tried a late/early order) free of charge as well. They have some great items on the new menu.

That's the way I'm used to but there's no way to register on line any more that I can find
here ya go.

Being very much a light weight myself I ask the waiter to go easy on the alcohol. I like lemon drops with sparkling water for a carbonated affect and rum punch. I also like margarita's on the rocks. ask your waiter to surprise you. They will outdo themselves trying to give you something new you will like. We had a friend on a recent cruise that had a waiter bringing her some new concoction every night. Some were good, some not so much.

We ate in Sabor on Freedom in September after the menu change. I prefer the original menu as it had a more varied selection of items. I didn't care for the homemade tortillas as they were extremely greasy. The guacamole was still good, as were the tortilla chips and the black beans. I had the shrimp tacos and ended up just eating the shrimp and leaving the 'taco' on the plate.

So we dont have a cruise booked for the winter - haven't seen anything that turns our crank but just for giggles I thought I'd have a look at air prices return from Portland Maine to FLL. What the hell is going on?
Here's the prices I get: Per person return
American Air - $828 PP
Jet Blue - $750 PP
Delta - $850 PP
United - $710 PP
and those prices are similarly high all thorough March and February
In November we're flying Southwest for $250 per person return. What the heck is going on? Oil is way down, gas is down. For two of us we'd be looking at $1500-$1600 USD return and here's the kicker. I'm from Canada and drive to Portland Maine to fly - have for years because its so much cheaper. I can fly out of my home town in Saint John NB Canada CHEAPER!
Holy crap guys. WTH?
I have noticed the same thing recently - it's actually cheaper to fly from Edmonton to Singapore than it is from Edmonton to Salt Lake City.

C'mon people, there are two number 8s!!! That makes Ocean Boy #10.;p
Maybe the two 8's are Identical Twins and reported simultaneously?

Magnets for attaching important documents (invitations, excursion tickets, notes) to the wall for easy access.

I'm considering just getting another GS and being done with it. I'm also trying to get by the price difference shock for two teenage girls.
If it's available you may want to look at the Royal Family Suite or Two Bedroom GS (depending on which ship) then you will all have the amenities and a lot of room.

I believe I read it will hold up to 30 days of data.

Darn work commitments. Can someone actually direct me to the post (by post number) that actually explains why the guard is sitting in front of a passenger door? I must of missed that one. :D
There hasn't been an explanation posted yet.

It's not a one time fine.
1st offense - Warning
2nd offense - $250.00 fine
3rd offense - Put off the ship
We were told by our stateroom attendant on one cruise that it is a $250 fine each time they are reported/caught. That could get pricey pretty fast.

That happened with my husband and Peanut Butter Cookies. He mentioned there weren't any a few years ago anywhere on the ship (I don't remember which one) and the next day a whole plate of them was presented to him. He had been told that they weren't making them any longer. Several other people saw his cookies and mentioned it and they were suddenly back on the cookie menu.

DH and I have taken collapsible walking sticks on several cruises and never had them confiscated or even questioned.

DH and I flew into Australia more than 2 weeks prior to boarding the ship, using Choice Air (now Air2Sea). They had no problem with the dates we chose.

if Junior was merely in a suite and not D or D+... well I have yet to sail on a ship with the new Suite lounge so cannot even hazard a guess.
Keep in mind that Suite guests do not get the drink vouchers unless they are D or above. Junior would be able to get a beverage in the CR during cocktail hours.
Alaskan Cruisetour - Question for those who've gone in the last few years
in Royal Caribbean International

We did an Alaska Cruisetour a few years back and don't remember there being many, if any, kids on the land portion. We were fortunate, like the previous poster, and had clear views of Denali for the time we could view her. It was amazing. We did the tour that flew to Brooks Camp to view the bears and also did a flight across Denali. Like I said, AMAZING!
