    Majesty Concierge Lounge

Johnny (and staff) on the December 9-16, 2018 Harmony sailing  he made a quick (but yet not cryptic) comment that RCI is working on a 10,000+ passenger ship.  The way he said it indicated (at least to me) that it was in its infancy.  At the time I wanted to ask if that number included crew but time ran out. 

     

    Interestingly, prior to Capt. Johnny's comments his Hotel Director commented that he was recently at a leadership conference and that RCI has some really big/exciting things in the works but wouldn't expand on his comment.

     

    Thoughts(?)/Comments(?) 

    Never heard that one before. Just off the Symphony of the Seas were Captain Rob said RCCL had a lot of things in the works but no mention of a ship that big although he did mention, bigger was better for RCCL and the bottom line.

    pinnacle (finally)

    We turned Pinnacle on the Symphony of the Seas TransAtlantic from Barcelona Spain to Miami and we were given Pinnacle status from Day 1 on that crossing. We got our certificate in a Crossing book plus many free pictures, lunch in the dinning room first day. We only got the crystal block not the Stratum block. Our certificate for the free 7 day cruise is still to come along with our name tags which they said would take 6 weeks to get to our home. We had many pluses to make turning Pinnacle on this cruise so special.

    Yes they are magnets I ordered Birthday stuff last year and they were magnets

     

    Where did you order them from? I have been looking for things with magnets on them. Birthday, Anniversary or any other. We got some things that hung from the metal ceiling when someone tossed them in the trash on one of our B2B's cruises. Never could find where they got them. I tried Pinintrest with no luck.

    A cute magnet I put on our cabin door "disappeared" on day 2 or day 3 of our cruise last year. Very disappointing! From now on if I put something on the cabin door it will be copies of cute or funny photos or jokes held on with cut-up pieces of free advertising magnets, so no big deal if they are stolen during the cruise.

     

    Ours did to on the last two cruises (Anthem and Harmony). They also knocked on our door then run. We had a lot of young people aboard. I put a calendar for the Month taped on so advertising magnets and mark off the days. No one has taken that yet. I usually take everything down a couple of nights before we leave the ship. We also had a couple of people knock on the door to ask about the Meet and Mingle and location and what it was so I was able to give them the info for there next trip.

    I see you have a Concierge on the HM but looking at the Deck Plan can't find where it is. We have a JS but don't think we can us the one by the Loft Suits. Do we have to use the Diamond club only? Need some advice from those who have sailed on HM before.

    Thanks -- I updated the GoogleDoc. Do you know who will be in the DL now that Christopher Dhookit is in the CL? I also have Larissa Curduneanu in the mix but have not had updates on her since 10-14-2014.

     

    Is Luca coming back to Legend or are he and Carolina going to another ship?

    He said he and his bride will be deceiding that when they make a new contract with RCCL. They want children too so that will be playing a role.

    We are just off the Legend of the Seas and Luca Lorio, Conierge is leaving today and going home to Italy before his marriage to the Loyality Sales Carolina Hardman of Brazil. Christopher Dhookit the Diamond Concierge is taking Luca's place as Concierge.

     

    Since the Legend is going to China a lot of staff and crew will be leaving.

    Anthem of the Seas Construction

    Looking forward to seeing more pictures of the Anthem of the Seas, wondering what differences will be on this ship compared with te Quantum. We sail one that one Nov 23rd and Dec 1st.

     

    Hope they make the wood a little lighter. I noticed that the Voyager class ships had the difference in the wood.

    You don't need to book an actual cruise while on board. When you'er ready you can book with Royal Caribbean direct or your personal travel agent, at any point in time.

     

    What my husband and I do is book a future cruise certificate with him as prime and a guest. Then I also book a future cruise certificate with me as prime and a guest. That way it only costs us $100 deposit each but we can take B2B cruises for only the $200 ititial deposit. They don't tell you that you can do that but you can. I always leave off the TA so that I can book on-line and transfer the cruises to our TA when we deceide to do it. We did this for the Inaugural cruises because the inital booking took place on a week end and our TA's office was closed. Then on 8:00am on the day we were aloud to book I was on the phone to RCCL. (hope this is understandable)
