  2. We are not buying for our 22 night in November from Japan to Sydney. From $59 a day to an increase of 45%, it's the principle that we have paid full payment. We were told to buy onboard because of the glitch in the online system, then Princess put the price up without any notification. Why is the increase not on new bookings? You book in good faith that you will get the advertised price that you booked under and it's changed without any notice.

  3. I can confirm that it is the cheapest in Vila. We were there at Christmas and in January. My husband buys 1.1litre bottles of Bundy rum for $15 and it was $26 for a smaller bottle on the ship. The cheapest shop was in the centre of the town if you are paying cash with Aussie dollars. If you pay by cc their exchange rate was not so good.

  4. Advice please. This is what my personaliser shows:

    Am I safe to presume I am purchasing $25USD for $31.25? (Xe.com says $31.25 = $21.25USD).

Trouble is my personaliser also shows I have bought $250AUD (that is what I paid in AUD)in OBC but not the USD equivalent amount.

So I reckon its a big ambiguous.

You would be getting an exchange of 75cents to the dollar. ie $125 aud for $100 usd. Not that great but better than below 70cents you would be getting from the bank.

  5. Up until last cruise we have mostly gone inside. We always choose a cabin that is closest to an outside deck ie Lido mid forward. It was a great location. However on that particular cruise on the Sapphire we both got struck down with cruisers cough. I was quite sick as an inside cabin is not so good when you want to rest. We had to go to the promenade for the lounges to lay down in fresh air. The cruise we are leaving on next month, we originally booked as an inside but due to the recent illness on the Sapphire we decided to pay the extra and get a balcony. Our Christmas cruise on the Sea is an inside but close to the outside deck on Aloha where there are great teak lounges to rest on. So choose your inside cabin wisely for position to the outside world is my suggestion. Enjoy your cruise.
