Yesterday I paid for the drinks package for my husband for our cruise to NZ in November 2018 and got it for $76.23 a day. Our cruise November this year is $89. Rang Princess about getting the cheaper but she couldn’t tell me why I could get it for $76. Check your Personaliser, you maybe lucky to get a cheaper price.

We are not buying for our 22 night in November from Japan to Sydney. From $59 a day to an increase of 45%, it's the principle that we have paid full payment. We were told to buy onboard because of the glitch in the online system, then Princess put the price up without any notification. Why is the increase not on new bookings? You book in good faith that you will get the advertised price that you booked under and it's changed without any notice.

Are you heading to the USA or is that a domestic price?
We are doing the Panama Canal, 15 days and staying 5 days in San Fransisco and another 4 days in .Dallas.

My husband got his pre existing heart from Suresave. Much cheaper than covermore. Insure and go was too expensive as well. He got Suresave for $600 for nearly 4 weeks.

We were on the Sun in May and it had new TVs and on demand programs.

I was on the Sun in May and there were slices of pizza at the Grill near Horizon. Not everyday though.

I can confirm that it is the cheapest in Vila. We were there at Christmas and in January. My husband buys 1.1litre bottles of Bundy rum for $15 and it was $26 for a smaller bottle on the ship. The cheapest shop was in the centre of the town if you are paying cash with Aussie dollars. If you pay by cc their exchange rate was not so good.

I spoke to several people on FB page who had been on the 6 day to Tassie and go the package. They offer it to you when you board.

Advice please. This is what my personaliser shows:
Am I safe to presume I am purchasing $25USD for $31.25? (Xe.com says $31.25 = $21.25USD).
Trouble is my personaliser also shows I have bought $250AUD (that is what I paid in AUD)in OBC but not the USD equivalent amount.
So I reckon its a big ambiguous.
You would be getting an exchange of 75cents to the dollar. ie $125 aud for $100 usd. Not that great but better than below 70cents you would be getting from the bank.

It has been one of our favourite cruisers. So many beautiful places and meeting so many new friends and the highlight, sailing into New York.

On our last cruise I won a Jackpot. Then before we got off I got a letter giving me $350 to use if I cruise in the next 6 months. We cruise again in 3 weeks. Never had any emails about a casino rate.
-
Buy casino credit. We got $2000 out in cash as Princess offered a great exchange. No hassle to do it this way. They put vouchers in your room then you take it to the casino and they give you the cash.

It's $59 a day if you buy it onboard. If you do it through your personaliser you will be charged the 15% tipping. Some people on fb have said that they get that refunded when they get onboard.

My husband has heart issues and we just bought a year insurance with the pre existing from Australia Post. You need to ring them as they go through everything with you. Look on their website under travel insurance the pre existing. It does cost a little extra for USA. The travel insurance is taken out for the length of say that you are out of Australia.

That RCL one is a bargain but lot harder to drop and go if your working. If I was retired, I would have booked already :D
Hi Sarah, I would have too except we have to babysit on the 7th. Have fun on your other bargain.

I do it all the time and never had a problem. I use my banks app.
-
That one can also be Travel Agent it comes down to context.
True, but it's wasn't about that context.

Doh! Thank you, it's been driving me mad trying to work it out!
Don't worry on our role call they were using TA, I thought ok trip away. It's wasn't until a few weeks ago I realised it was transatlantic.

We have purchased $2000 in casino credits to get as cash for when we are in the U.S. It was an advantage for us as an Aussie as Princess's exchange rate for only 10%. Our banks rate is 70cents compared with Princess at 90cents to the USD.

What a cozy, lovely ship to sail on at Christmas and sip rum toddies in the Wheelhouse. :)

Up until last cruise we have mostly gone inside. We always choose a cabin that is closest to an outside deck ie Lido mid forward. It was a great location. However on that particular cruise on the Sapphire we both got struck down with cruisers cough. I was quite sick as an inside cabin is not so good when you want to rest. We had to go to the promenade for the lounges to lay down in fresh air. The cruise we are leaving on next month, we originally booked as an inside but due to the recent illness on the Sapphire we decided to pay the extra and get a balcony. Our Christmas cruise on the Sea is an inside but close to the outside deck on Aloha where there are great teak lounges to rest on. So choose your inside cabin wisely for position to the outside world is my suggestion. Enjoy your cruise.

We are looking forward to sailing on the Sea Princess at Christmas. Have been on her twice out of Brisbane, which is mainly her home town.
