  1. I just got home from our cruise on the Crown. I only bought the digital files of my photos so I can print them multiple times. I was assured there would be a release on my CD but there is not. So hoping someone here has a release they can email me or point me in the right direction. They are supposed to be Christmas gifts so I am on a deadline!

    Thanks!!

  2. Hi!! We are going on the Getaway in 9 days! So excited but I have a bunch of questions that I am sure someone here can answer!

We would like to have at least 4 extra pillows for our bed. Is there someway to "order" them before we go or should we just ask our cabin steward?

Are day passes for Vibe readily available? We don't want to buy a week pass as we are going with family and want to be able to spend time with them most days.

We are doing a private family vow renewal on board and would like a quiet place to do this on the ship. Can anyone recommend a good place? We would be doing it in the late afternoon before cocktails and dinner.

We like to get off the ship in port but mainly just to go to the shopping and maybe the beach. How is the taxi situation at each port? I have read to negotiate your taxi fare before you leave. What is the appropriate cost for each port?

  3. I am happy the smoking policy is changing the day we embark!!

As the health and well-being of our guests and crew is of the utmost importance, Norwegian Cruise Line will institute changes to its smoking policy for all sailings on or after November 1, 2014. The specific changes prohibit smoking on stateroom balconies and limit smoking in the casino to players. On Norwegian Getaway and Norwegian Breakaway, smoking on The Waterfront will be permitted on the starboard side, except by the outdoor dining areas.

Guests in the Garden Villas may smoke in their private garden and on their private sun decks.

Public areas throughout all our ships are smoke-free. If you smoke regular or electronic cigarettes, you can do so in designated areas only. If you prefer pipes or cigars, you can smoke in the Cigar Bar or designated smoking lounge. Smoking cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, cigars and pipes is permitted in outdoor public guest spaces and open decks where designated by the ship's management based on the ship's specific characteristics and arrangement. Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, is prohibited in or near venues serving food, the jogging track, outdoor sporting venues, The Haven outdoor areas and children's pool areas. On ships with The Waterfront, smoking is permitted on the starboard side excluding any food service areas. Active Casino players may smoke cigarettes in the Casino during gaming hours. Cigarette smoking is not permitted in any other indoor venue or location.

Guests are not permitted to smoke cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cigars or pipes in their staterooms or on their balconies. Cigar and pipe smoking in staterooms and on balconies is prohibited. Smoking inside your stateroom or on your balcony will result in a $250 cleaning charge added to your onboard account. If cigarette burns on furniture, linens, towels or carpeting are detected; guests will be advised and charged for the damages.

Electronic cigarettes cannot be used in public areas where there is a No Smoking policy in force; simply because these cigarettes look so realistic and therefore other guests' perception is that we are not enforcing the No Smoking rule.

  4. Hi!! We are going on the Getaway in about 6 weeks! So excited but I have a bunch of questions that I am sure someone here can answer!

What is the appropriate cost for each port? I do know in Nassau there are water taxis that will take you to the Atlantis for a few dollars.

I am sure I will come up with more questions! Thanks in advance for answering them

  5. My husband and I are celebrating our 20th anniversary with a vow renewal on NCL Getaway. I have not had much luck with getting Royal Ocean Events to email me back (maybe they don't answer emails!!??). Has anyone dealt with them?

Have any of you renewed your vows on NCL?

We are doing the deluxe package which I believe is $799. I am hoping it will be on a sea day as our family all want to get off the ship on the port days.

I have picked out my dress and what my husband will be wearing. Our two little nieces are going to be "flower girls" for us as we want to have them involved.

We are super excited to do this!!

  6. Has anyone recently done a vow renewal on NCL? If you had it on Getaway even better because that is the ship we are going on.

How was your dealing with Royal Ocean Events?

What package did you get? I am wanting to get the deluxe package so if you got that...how did you like it?

What day and time was the ceremony?

Were you able to have guests there? I have read some things that guests are not allowed.

Is there anything you didn't like?

    Thanks!!!

    Kristi
