Requested shareholder OBC w/Princess on Saturday & just now received an email with this link to use instead to download an app.
Noted HAL was listed, also. Has this been process been implemented w/HAL, too?

"Dear ShipWalker,

Carnival Corp is implementing a more automated onboard credit request process in partnership with Stockperks.
Please go to www.stockperks.com/carnivalcorp for all details about the program and how to apply for your onboard credit via the Stockperks app.
Thank you for being a CCL shareholder! We look forward to welcoming you aboard.
Kind regards,

I faxed my proof of Carnival shares to the HAL World Cruise Reservations number 206-270-6080 and received confirmation of $100 onboard credit via email a few days later. I'm old school, haha!

Yes, you can use whatever onboard credit you have.

I've found Stevia in the Explorer's Lounge sometimes. I usually bring my own box/bag.

Thanks for taking us along. Enjoy your travels.

On our last cruise on the Rotterdam, every day in the Tamarind Bar they had a Martini party happy hour with Genevieve and her crew. It was great and drew a nice group of likeminded people.

I would have thought that Front Desk staff were salaried and not in the tip pool. I really don't see them as deserving of being included when compared to laundry or kitchen staff.
Have you ever observed the Front Desk staff dealing with guests? Especially the rude and impatient ones?

We always tip the porters wherever we are. Going in, usually $5 for 2-3 bags. In FLL, we just raise our hand when we get into the luggage claim area and they come right over with their cart and pick up all of our bags, even the carry on that we have with us. Last trip, the porter took us through immigration and outside to the area where our car shuttle van was located, a trip I don't think I could have done without him. Tipped him $10 and well worth it. I figure I've just spent thousands on a vacation and they deserve a decent tip.

Wonder when somebody will ask what the pax that got to stay on longer had to pay for the extra day...
It's all about the benjamins! LOL!

We've stayed at the Horton Grand twice. You can uber from the airport to the hotel and hotel to pier. There are many restaurants close by. I don't recommend the one adjacent to the hotel. We also ubered from the hotel to Ruth's Cris restaurant (very pricey!).

I faxed my information in last Wednesday evening and on Thursday evening had received an email stating that it was processed and we had the OBC applied to both of our upcoming cruises.
One credit per cabin, not per person.

If something costs more do you pay full price or just the difference?
This may have changed but I believe that they will charge you for the higher priced drink and it won't add to your daily limit of 15 drinks. It will be a separate charge. Anyone have different information?

Love Canaletto, especially the Osso Bucco! Delicioso! Enjoying your posts and pictures. Thanks for taking the time from your vacation although I expect that it's a labor of love.😉

There are QR codes on the tables in all the bars. You can scan it and see the Menu for that particular venue.

Good Evening from the Rotterdam, well here on the Rotterdam they have been calling it both Gala Night and Dressy Night. And basically anything goes for attire.
we had a nice dinner but our location was extremely noisy. Very hard to talk to others at our table.I don’t think acoustics are good in the Dining Room. I know they are not in the Spa reception area, it was weird I could not hear them and they were having trouble hearing me with other people near by talking.
We are getting ready to go down to see the Band at the Rolling Stone Rock and Roll LoungeBtw I had the Sea Bass and it was excellent, the Filet was just ok.
Tom looks like a Prince among his ladies, LOL!

This is Business Class, although we were not very impressed. The tightest quarters we have flown in for Business Class, it’s what United brags about called Polaris. American and Air Canada are much nicer.
Lisa, when we flew Delta First/Business last year to San Diego, it was crappy! Crazy configuration and equally terrible meal(s) -- can you say "boxed dinner"? Enjoy your cruise!

Update to things missing.
Dined at Tamarind last nite. It was excellent. Things missing were no scallops and three types of Saki. But the HAL shopping bags appeared yesterday that were not available last cruise
Maybe because you're on B2B they felt you only needed one bag for both cruises?

It's per cabin.
Is the $7 or $8 a day for unlimited laundry per cabin or per person?

If you decide to bring your child to Rudi's, I would suggest an earlier dining time, such as when they first open. Frankly, Rudi's is not really suitable for a 20-month old.

Related question - when extra tipping the room stewards how does everyone else handle this? Separate envelopes for each, or both together? I usually just put both names on the envelope but do not know if this is the best way to do it.
I always hand the envelope/cash to each individually. In fact, on our last cruise on the NS in April, I actually offered the head steward for him to give his assistant his tip, he refused and said to give it to him personally. I took that as an honest man, too easy to pocket the $$$.

My husband and I both tested positive for Covid after disembarking from the NS on 4/17/22. Both of us were vaxed and boosted. Our symptoms were minor and more like a bad cold. Could we have contracted the virus on shore from unvaccinated residents of the islands visited? More than likely.

Bronze Medallions ?
in Holland America Line

I received my silver medallion onboard the Rotterdam on 12/14/23. The event was limited to a handful of people, including introductions of President's Club members and people with high sea miles. There were light refreshments, no luncheon afterward as in the past. Event started at 11:00 am and concluded at 11:20 am.
Frankly, I was happy for no luncheon. There are plenty of options for food around the ship.
