  1. I'm loving your review.

If I had to pick just one word to describe your personality, it would be BUBBLY. :) You have the most wonderful way of enjoying everything you see and experience.

I laughed so much at your pic of "toes." As you said everyone takes pics of their toes in the warm sand ... but yours is so unique. Hiding under the blanket, then under the socks...Hey must be toes. :D

Thank you for putting this fantastic review together.

  2. Very very nice review. Well written and great pics. Personally I'm not a fan of fish eye lenses but you've done well with them. I know how long it takes to put together a good review so thanks for taking the time.

Great looking family by the way ... sadly they'll be grown and gone before you know it. At least you'll have all your memories and pictures. (And we expect to see more of your reviews when your kids marry and have their own kids ... on a cruise of course.):)

  3.

You can even order cappucino and espresso in the MDR at any meal without an additional charge.

I know you can order C & E for breakfast in the MDR. But I'm "fairly" certain, not 100% though, you can't order the Espresso for any other meal...Cappucino yes.

Are you certain you can get free Espresso for lunch and dinner?

  4. In fact I'm going to wear a belt that will hold all of my beers sorta like grenades, maybe even the strap across my chest so I don't clutter up the table. Or should I just bring my rolling cooler? Only on non elegant nights of course. LoL

    Disgusting.

The ONLY acceptable method of bringing/drinking beer in the MDR is by wearing a hard hard with the beer cans attached around the outside. And of course a hose hanging down and into your mouth. :D:D

  5. We missed our cruise ship's departure once. Alaska Airlines had mechanical problems on the ground in Spokane, WA, AFTER arriving late, so an hour later they flew us on another plane to Seattle from Spokane, then onto San Diego. We were on the port side of the plane and I could see the empty Carnival berth from the air. Alaska gave us $6.00 food coupons each...lol. We paid for our own hotel in San Diego and I spend the evening on the phone with Alaska trying to arrange a flight onwards to Acapulco.

The next morning Alaska Air got us a flight to LAX, and then onto Acapulco via Mexico City. We met someone onboard the Air Mexico plane who owned a hotel in Acapulco and he not only rented us a room while we were still flying, they took us with them in their hotel supplied van from the airport 20 miles from Acapulco, right to their hotel.

It turned out to be a wonderful 2 days we spent in Acapulco and we met and boarded the ship when it arrived.

I have nothing but kudos for Alaska Air stepping up to the plate and paying for the onward flight via another airline, when according to the rules at the time all they had to do was get us to our destination even if it was later than their schedule dictated. Dunno if that has changed now.
