What is the best way to pack Alcohol in your suitcase
-
Okay thank you for the info. My Husband and I buy bottles of wine from the Dining room and they will transfer it where ever we dine the next night no problem. We do not have drinks in the room. My children on the other hand are younger and will probably drink more. The packages are to expensive for them, so I think they will probably have a bottle in their rooms. Since we have never done this I was just wondering. We never even drink the bottle they give us in the room.

:halo::oI was wondering if you can bring alcohol in your luggage for your room or is this a no no. We are traveling with our children and spouses who are all over 50. Although they will buy drinks when in the dining areas and bars, I know they would like a drink when in there stateroom. Does anyone do this.

thank you all we are seven adults so I was wondering if it would be a problem. Should have said before their are seven of us.

We were also on that cruise and heard the announcement. I really don't know what they said except it would not take long. We were half asleep.

I agree , even though it is fiction there is a lot of history in them. Besides Diane gabledon is a good story, all her books are very good reading.

Thank you so much. I am glad we are close to transportation, that was a main concern. Donna

Hi I have made reservations in August for the doubletree tower bridge hotel. This will be post cruise. I was wondering if maybe the park lane hilton would have been a better choice. We are staying with points. Location is my worry. Thank you for any info.

We will be in London for three days post cruise in August of this year. We would like to stay in hilton or doubletree so we can use points. Would like to find something close to some of London's attractions, also shopping and nice restaurants. So far I have looked at the doubletree marble arche and doubletree Westminster. Do either of these fit the bill, or do you have any suggestions. I posted about this before, but I can not find it. Thank you for any info you might have.

I finished listening to New York by Edward Rutherford. It was very good, lots of History. Started out with the different tribes of Indians and the first American settlers Scots french and the Brits. How the constitution was formed the wars with England and civil war. Lots of neat characters in the book. I really enjoyed it.
I have listened to the first two books by Diane Gabaldon the Outlander and Voyager. Which one is next. I am now reading the last coyote by Michael Connely a little break from the long books. I really want to finish Diane Gabaldons books I really like them. Donna

Thank you, I sort of thought this but nevr hurts to keep hoping. I am just a little bit claustrophobic. I did book both our seats on the aisle. I hope they will lwave us there. Donna

We are taking a river cruse in August to the Danube. The co. we booked thru. was offering 1/2 off on airfare. I looked at prices on different airlines and the prices were twice as much as we are paying. My biggest problem is the airline is British air and although we could pick seats from a group, we could not upgrade. British air will not except any of the programs for upgrades even if they are partners. But we are getting our tickets half price.

Hi I just bought the audio of New York. I am just getting started on it, and so far it is really good. The author is Edward Rutherford. It is a novel based on the history of NY.

I hope that I can attend the book signing. It is for Breaking the rules. I think Women of Substance is out on CD but as yet they don't have it on Audible or Kindle. I will try and find out when I go. I know audible has Breaking the rules, The Ravenscar Dynasty, Emma's Secret, A Sudden change of Heart, and a few more. They have more on Kindle. Donna

I forgot to say I loved Ken Follets books.

Hi everyone; I just happened on this thread while I was browsing in cruise critic. I love to read, but mostly I listen to books on my ipod. Right now I am listening to Diana Gabaldons Outlander. When I finish this one should I read them in a certain order? I also went back and listened to Prince of tides, before I go into the longer books by Conroy. I just found out that Barbara Taylor Brandford will be in Tucson on Thursday for a book signing and talks about her other books. I am thinking of going. I am really glad I found this thread. It is really helpful when you are wondering what to read next. Donna
Marina remodeling
in Oceania Cruises
Posted
We know now, remodeling on Marina is May. What they do not mention is the tubs in the balcony rooms. My only complaint is with the shower tub combination with the half glass. I am very short and it was very hard to climb over or reach in to turn on the shower. I am hoping they remodel the bathrooms like on Riveria. Walk in showers. More space, easy to use.
